Gnarls Barkley released a new video for their second single, “Going On” from their latest album, The Odd Couple. “Going On” is the follow-up to their first single from the album, “Run.” I am really digging the video, and the album. Gnarls Barkley definitely does their thing. Gotta love it.

This is cool, I love the choreography!
Man, I love The Odd Couple. Their first album pales in comparison.
I’m loving the video!
Great video. Definitely different.
Such a talented group. Inventive video and great lyrics.
Wow.
I really liked that video!
WOW, loves it, I love my African ppl!!!

Lovely.
I think it’s very hard nowadays to make a “different” video, even the so-called “different” videos are the same type of different, but I’ve never seen anything like this one!
LOVE THE VIDEO!!!! IT IS AMAZING
A FREAKIN’ MAZIN’!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WHAT THE HELL WERE THEY SMOKING ON WHEN THEY DID THIS!!!!! AND I MEAN THAT IN A GOOD WAY!!!!!! BUT THEN AGAIN WHAT DO I KNOW..I THOUGHT JANET’S ROCK WITH U WAS AMAZING BUT PEOPLE SLEPT ON THAT ALSO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Fresh.
The video was cool. I like the concept they were going for. The song is cool too. I like the motivational theme behind it.
YOOOOOOOOOO! This video and song is so inspirational for some reason. I absolutely LOVE IT! I wonder where they shot it though. Looks like Africa but some of the dancers in the video are Jamaican, I know that for a fact, they’re from a dance crew called Shady Squad. Anyways, this video was NUTS! Loves it.!
All Gnarls Barkley videos are different and Cee-Lo stays kicking knowledge to the kids with his powerful lyrics and Danger Mouse with his eclectic beats love these two. I though “Who’s Gonna Save My Soul” was the next single? I love that song oh well this song is hot too.
That’s definitely the best song on the album.
I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Great video!!! Go Gnarls.
Jamaica Stand Up!!!!
That was a hot video, loving the way Gnarls Barkley be doing their thing.
@ SOSWEET85 i think the video was shot in jamaica, im just guessin, because they kept showing the map, like the shape off the island, if u see at 00:32 you’ll see it on the wall, thats the shape off jamaica.
but regardless off where it was shot, its still hot.
LOVE IT! Gnarls knows how to bring it everytime. NEVER fails.
for all those wondering… those are jamaicans, anyway if you look at the map of a country in the video… it’s jamaica.. look it up if your not sure… the video was awesome i LOOOOOOVVVVED it! GB is soooo great
AMAZING and true artistry, exactly what the music game is missing
I LOVE IT ! Very refreshing, entertaining, enticing. I love his voice and the instrumental. Makes me want to go dance out in the middle of the street too. LOL. At first I thought it was bout the slave ship coming to america (the unknown) and blacks adapting to the new country (and still adapting) but then it seemed to be even deeper than that. It appears to be about our own personal journeys as well (at least that’s my interpretation). Anyway, I’m loving it. This is my new theme song for the year. I’m going on! I’m getting the new cd and the first one too.
Janet Jackson used this same concept for her video “Got Til It’s Gone.” This video is nothing new.
amaaazing!
i love them.
@27 it did remind me of janets video but it was interesting and original nonetheless.
Me likey!
I assumed the actors/actresses were african but i guess not
Wow… that was great!
i freakn love this video and song…they are soo talented. now thats what i call music, baby…
hottttnesssss
OMG! I love it. I mean I just kept saying while watching that this is too cute!
That how I describe things when I like them alot.
I believe though its about following your own journey and what not, either in love or not. Its like I meet you there like he said. Its personal for grwoth things you have to deal with yourself.
Anyways I like. lol Am geekin off this rite now.
DID THEY ALREADY HAVE THE VIDEO MADE AND THEN ADDED THE SONG? LOL IT WAS TIGHT THO..VERY DIFF
BLACK PEOPLE WE ARE BEAUTIFUL, THE WAY WE ARE. REMEMBER THAT!
AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Love the song and video
DEL you are very ignorant.
Those are Jamaicans.
The video was shot in Jamaica by Wendy Morgan
My cousin is the lead male that jumps through the door
I AM REALLY FEELING THIS VIDEO BUT QUESTION WAS IT SHOT IN JAMAICA FOR AFRICA?
Best. Video. Ever.
I love cee-lo’s singing even when he was with Goodie Mob and he use to bust a lil tune, but this lil song here is not getting it for me I just couldnt bring myself into staying focused on it or something
Gnarles Barkley album is nuts, thumbs up!!!…Big up to all the dancers dem, YES to all who wanted to know – the video was shot in Tivoly Gardens, Kingston, JAMAICA (someone correct me as to which part of Kingston if you know otherwise)..this video is fire, BULLET!!!!!
This video was shot in Tivoli Gardens, Jamaica. I actually live in Jamaica and I recognised it easily. I’m not surprised Gnarls Barkley had a video done here. Everytime American artistes want some vibes in their music or videos…they look to us. We’re just special that way I guess…creative. For a small island like us…we do things in a big way.
CEE-LO comes a Long way– YALL REMEBER closet freak !!! =D thats my jam.
BRIAN — Who produces Gnarls barkley videos at least this one n RUN?
without a doubt i`ll tell you this was shot in South Africa those people gotta so much dancing and music talent you could ever imagine
they don`t even attend art shools or whatsoever
I do believe the video was shot in jamaica, it wouldn’t make any sense for them to have the jamaican map in the video, why not have the south african map instead.
this was shot in Jamaica folks, don’t u guys see the map in the vid? Anyway I love the girl’s skirt.
I’m glad y’all get it…..’cause I don’t know what’s “Going on”
I love this song. It was actually one of the TWO songs I liked on the album. As far as the video, its not as GREAT as ya’ll are hyping it up to be. I’m not sure what videos ya’ll have seen but this doesn’t even place on my top 20 as “original” or “different.” If you compare this vid to Janet’s (like #27), they are right. Janet had a inspiration and followed thru w/ her point in her vid. Gnarls DID NOT. Janet’s vid left you complete and achieved sending out a message. Gnarls DID NOT. The song is inspirational but the video DID NOT do it justice so I am disappointed. It would have been different if the destination and effect was in the vid or at least a moment in time (where they traveled to) was shot but it wasn’t. Its seriously lacking because it isn’t a complete story.
They are Jamaicans, and each one of them is Beautiful. Blackness is indeed Gorgeous in its entirety. I haven’t seen the Janet video, but in all honesty, there have been tons of recycled video concepts. You just have to take it for what it is. There is always recycled music, recycled fashion, recycled hairstyles, etc. Such is life.
ummmm i just viewed the video #27 stated janet jackson did with the same concept as this one and….immah have to disagree. they are both different videos highlighting very different topics.
@ 49
Thank you! Glad we’re on the same page. The reason why I wasn’t so blown away by Gnarls’ video is because I’ve seen this before way back in 1997 by Miss Jackson. It’s okay though, those that are old enough to remember just have amnesia and those that are too young just don’t know.

I remember Janet doing something like this also, but she had all this other stuff going on with customes in things. The name of the song is “Together Again” or “Runaway” I believe something of that nature is what I think some of you are trying to get at. But I like how he use the simplility of it with people dancing and a door.
I felt the need to address this cause I mean seriously I really get tired of people saying some people are too young they don’t know, and am young and my ear isn’t limited at all. Am saying just think before you talk/type just because you see a teenager talking/singing about BUST IT BABY doesn’t mean that they don’t know anything else.
^ GOT TIL IT’S GONE is the video by Janet, not Together Again or Runaway LMAO!
Angel, This is one of the reasons why I miss when you use to do flashback video spotlight.
RAEEEEEEE!!!!…my jamaicans doing it well!!!…love Gnarls Barkley…great musicians!
US BLACK PEOPLE SHUD BE PROUD TO BE LABELED AFRICAN..cos the white man doesn;t wnt us to be x
JAMAICA TO DI WORLD!!!! LOVIN THE JAMAICAN DANCES AND THE FACT THAT JAMAICA IS GETTIN RECOGNITION..
What NuAgenda said. And also the song by Gnarls sucks donkey kong balls.
big up to jamaica! in case you didn’t know, that video takes place in ja. that’s a map of ja.
