Sixteen year old Def Jam singer Karina Pasian debuted her new video for her song “Sixteen At War” on Saturday. The song was written by The-Dream and produced by Tricky Stewart and is taken from her forthcoming debut album ‘First Love’, which is set to drop on June 3rd.
Some people are calling her the next Alicia Keys, I guess because she can play the piano and what not. And some of you may remember that ‘Who Sang It Better’ post she was featured in a few weeks back.
This video and this girl is amazing!!!! Her voice is beautiful and she will be the next star!!!!
first of all to compare her to a.keys at this stage of her career is just silly. just because you play the piano and sing doesnt mke you alicia keys. you have to have the personality and swggger to go along with it and karina at 16 doesnt have that. i have seen her sing around nyc for years with her father as her cheerleader. Although i think she is talented her personality was bland..kind of like watching paint dry. i heard her sing a whitney houston song she sounded great but someone asked her what the song was about she just stared blankly and confused then stated she didnt know!! that being said she needs time to develop and learn. As far as tiffany evans, that lil girl has an incredible voice for any age but nobody has figured out how to make gret records on her.

and lastly dominicans are just black people who speak spanish period..its no different than going to germany meeting darkskin folks who speak german and say they are not black either..just ridicoulous..

i like this song, it has a good message, but i am not going to “coin ” her the next A. Keys; she killed it with her intro to the scene with “Fallin” and this song doesn’t compare at all!! I hope she can show her skills with her next single…

Yes I was one of the one’s saying that Karina was repping for Dominican’s, but I never said she wasn’t Black! Of course she is Black! Both of my parents are from Dominican Republic and I consider myself a Black woman as well!

I think she came out on a good note 16 was a good move for single although i like that slow motion joint she did now that was heavy but i think her 2nd single i think its first love or something it will show off more of her vocals and it will show that her voice dose stand out
