I actually really like Maroon 5 (if u don’t know them, they R WORTH looking up). I even like the the artistic vision of the video itself. Rihanna’s fashion, makeup and hair.. ALL GREAT.. but her voice in the song.. i’m not feeling it. I’m not feeling the song much, but i’m definitely not feeling it with HER in it. And i like her very much, but this song.. i’m just not digging it.

I think Robert Palmer did a better job with his “Addicted to Love” Video.. cuz that’s what it reminds me of.

If that’s the case Gwen Stefani and Kelis are seen in the same light, but you never hear of them at the top of Blackwell’s Fashion list, but Beyonce’s on it because she’s classic Jackie-O to them. Even if Beyonce were a bum, Rihanna still couldn’t be her because the girl puts it DOWN when it comes to this entertainment thing. She’s still running the women in music lane and people still wait to hear and see what she does before they run to the studio. I like both the original and the remix because I’m a maroon 5 fan. I think putting Rihanna on it was a great marketing move. Yes she doesn’t have the best voice but right about now she’s a hot commodity and very apealing in the pop/rock world. I don’t think her voice is not the greatest, but it doesn’t sound too bad as long as she’s not aiming for any high notes. She can be used for the adlibs and small parts of this song. I think it works well.

Rih is doing her Caribbean girl thang. I think Rih is as good an entertainer as Bey plus the girl is young (just turned 20) so she has years to hone her craft just like Bey did when she started out. I love Bey but when she performs sometimes she has an “I’m all that” look on her face and sort of over does it.
