Algebra, who released her debut album, Purpose this year, recently released her new single, “Run & Hide” (produced by Kwame). Yeah we are a little late with this one, but better than never.
I’m really digging this new song from Algebra, and actually have had several opportunities to see her perform here live in Atlanta. I love the mellow feel of the track, it definitely good mood music. Ms. Blessett recently shot a video for the new track, check it out here.

I love Algebra…I saw her perform during homecoming week. J. Holiday was supposed to perform last but he was such a diva and wanted to leave that he took her spot and made her perform after him. Anyway she stayed and did a really good job. I like her swag I hope she has much success.
I like it. I just wish her voice was a little louder in the beginning of the song. I wonder why she chose the name algebra though? I hope that’s not her real name, It’s different and I guess not matching is the new black lol. No but seriously, I guess this is the new style. I can’t get w/ it though. I really can’t. Her style reminds me of Santigold’s.

Her real name is Algebra Blessett, her mom was infactuated with math so thats why they named her Algebra, no joke, dead serious. She is hot stuff, and yes about two or three months ago she did have a free download on iTunes. I got into her when I went to DC last year and heard her, I’m from Indiana so we get music late, but you find out the most about peeps like her on Music Choice too.
