All I can say is that although the awards were mediocre, the Fashion Notch was turned waaaaaaaay up for the 08′ Kudos to all Designers!!!
Nia’s dress w/minimal accessories was by far one of my favorite’s as well as Chrisette’s little number! I also enjoyed Keyshia’s performance gown pre-wife beater outfit~

I’m reading that Rihanna’s make up was too dark, but it’s really only her lipstick and I thought it looked good with the bright color. I think something lighter would have washed her out. I love the gladiator boot/sandal look that folks are rockin now, but it ain’t for everybody and does not look good with everything. You either need to have on something short (Lauren London) or a long dress (Rihanna) that in between hem line that T-Boz has on is not working.

The Men: I HATE WHITE SHOES…what is the deal with men wearing these white shoes. They are ugly!!!! If I have to choose…John Legend is the winner. Usher looks silly and the faux hawk is played out.

For folks who are colour ignorant, let me educate you. Yellow and purple are complementary colours (meaning they go together) the same thing goes for red and green. Search for a colour wheel on the internet and you will be able to verify this. Just because Rihanna’s colour scheme was not a monochromatic one doesn’t mean her stylist didn’t know what she was doing.

I could not watch this. I felt overwhelmed, because I’m on CL everyday. These shows are not exciting for me. I always catch the rerun a few months later. I know next time an award show is due to broadcast, I’m taking a two weeks vacation from the web. I remember back in the day, award shows were major and exciting. Now they come a dime a dozen and are worthless. I guess because we have the web and 101 reality shows. And we are always apart of a “what they are wearing on the red carpet” We are no longer intrigued by today’s artist because we hear about them 24/7. Most of the ladies looked stunning. Rihanna was quite beautiful and fresh off the catwalk in Paris.
