♫ Chester French – She Loves Everybody
Meet D.A. Wallach and Maxwell Drummey, who make up the duo, Chester French. These two Harvard graduates wrote, arranged, produced and engineered their album, tentatively titled Love the Future in their dorm’s basement. Last December, their demo found its way around the industry and got them attracting offers from heavyweights like Kanye West, Jermaine Dupri, Pharrell Williams and Jimmy Iovine.
Naming their band after sculptor Daniel Chester French, who designed the statue at the Lincoln Memorial, the boys were signed to Pharrell’s Star Trak Music, via Interscope. Just last May, D.A. and Max completed recording and their degrees, in African American Studies and Social Anthropology, respectively. They’ve both since relocated to LA to put the finishing touches on their debut album, due out this year.
I’ve known about the guys for a while now and I definitely am digging their sound and I absolutely love their story. Pharrell better do these boys justice.

CF is the real deal no doubt, but their early recordings were engineered, arranged, and produced by the great Tyler Woods(also a harvard grad). my man did it CHEAP, so he’s deserves the nod. He crushed it!!! if youre feelin CF please go and dig these sessions up, it’s some magic like brion+apple. he is currently playing keys in their live band. don’t take my word for it,ask them about tyler….
it’ll be interesting to see what these “super” producers do with them.

they sound good reminds me of maroon5 kind of style but i will listen to more of their music and i will see if i can jump on their bandwagon

Its alright…there is alot better music out there…esthero, santogold, Vakero,cool kids, calle 13..N.E.R.D.’s new album blows this out the water. Also Kenna blows this out the water!!!! Kenna is way underrated and never gets any play…I wonder why?
I’m always amazed at how if someone hears they date black and study black…….folks are all over them and accepting.. if it was a black or Latino guy doing the same thing…and dates white chicks here comes the “haterrade”..best of luck to them I have no anomosity for them.
