  7. politicallyincorrect

No one cares about the K-8 graduations, stop treat those grads like they actually accomplished something.

  8. STLCHICK

Dang! I wanted to be featured in a post like this. What about ppl that graduated last year?

@ #7 Yes people do care about K-8 graduations. Have you ever been to one? People get very excited when there’s a graduation no matter what the occasion.

I hope you have this feature next year when my daughter graduates from the 8th grade and my younger sister graduates from college!! It is nice to acknowledge people for the accomplishments they have achieved, may it be pre-school, or beauty school, graduation shows that that you remained focused for a certain amount of time to master the skill(s) needed to moving on in life. It may be Kindergarten, or on to studying for your Ph.d you had a goal and accomplished it!! Thanks CL for this feature. Hopefully it will inspire many to accomplish their goal(s) whatever they are.

  14. Mesohungry

My youngest sister graduated from Northside High School and is on her way to college! I am so proud of her and all the graduates! Glad to hear people don’t just stop with a high school diploma…if you want to get somewhere, you have to at least have a Bachelors..I had to get a Masters for my field…that is all..

  15. New_Orleans Finest

That is beautiful! They (all graduates) need to know people care. Not just people, but their own. And we applaud for everything that isn’t all good, or worthy enough to be praised, or give accolades for the ignorance. But this right here is one up for the Future. There is hope and it’s not in Barack being President; it’s in Us and Our future

  16. >>>>>Dame(Although I heart Jay z it's all about Barack ba-by)

I am happy for children that graduate from any grade it is an accomplishment My baby brother will be finishing high school in four years and I can’t wait.

  17. xpert2007

  18. GODSCHILD

@7, then you must do not have kids, cause K-8 are the most special ones, “damn FOLKS”, try to mess up everything positive, SMH

  19. SHA BOOGIE

pre-k. Why did you have to put your nasty little comment on here! Grow

  26. silly_rabbit

lmfao @ #7….those graduations don’t matter? then how the heck do they get the graduations that “really” matter…like high school and college? they have to start somewhere dummy…any graduation marks an accomplishment.

  27. silly_rabbit

meant how the heck do they get TO*

  28. Rae of StuffFlyPeopleLike.com

    Excellent IDEA!!!! SOOO cutteeee

  29. Ladyssolady

I just graduated a few weeks ago from college! YAY!!! That little girl reminds me of the kindergarteners I had in my classroom. I know they do it up north a lot, and at private schools, but their parents were so sad to hear that they didn’t have a kindergarten graduation. Nevertheless, they are still proud of them.

  30. Questioneverything

    # 7 Politically Incorrect–I happen to work at an inner city school where YES we celebrated PreK graduation, K graduation, 5th grade graduation and 6th grade graduation!!! Many of these kids come from pretty bad situations and the statistics are stacked AGAINST them. The early grades are where we strive to reach them so they CAN go on to accomplish more! Why don’t you take your negative energy and channel it in more POSITIVE ways!!

  31. pete

is it legal to have underage kids picture on this type of site? just asking…

  32. Questioneverything

Congrats to ALL the graduates from Pre-K–on UP!! NEVER let someone like #7 hold you back! I wish big things for little Mya and all those dare to EXCEL!!!

  33. Common Lady

I graduated from college (Bachelors) on June 4th, 2008!!!! Woo Hoo!!!!!

  34. LA BELLA

MYA IS SUCH A CUTIE HER PARENTS BETTER WATCH OUT FOR HER WHEN SHE GRADUATES FROM HIGH SCHOOL..

  36. Bass_Man

    Get that diploma, baby girl!

I graduate high school next year!

  37. LMAO

should a 4-year-old be allowed to check CL??? Somebody somewhere must have dropped the ball…either her parents or her, ahem, babysitter…………….

  38. I said she knows about it. She doesn’t read it daily. LOL! When I babysit her she asks to see the latest photos of Rihanna and Raven…

I’m pretty sure she doesn’t have her own laptop yet, so she ain’t checking it that much.

  39. LMAO

    ok…u’ve been acquitted ;)

  40. Water

I feel mixed when it comes to graduations perhaps in the same way aspolitically incorrect. Yes, it is important to celebrate transitions from school to school but I think some of us take it too too too far. A middle school prom where 8th grade girls are dressing seductively. Nah, ma, I don’t think so.

A lot of folks say that the reason why 8th grade graduation is such a big is because most of the students are unlikely to graduate from high school. I say when need to spend less money on the graduation and allot more funds in summerbridge programs from middle school to high school.

  41. Temi

whoop whooop !!! I Grad nxt month !!!

  42. PheonixSky

Congrats to Mya and everyone who graduated this year. I graduated last year (bachelor’s) and will be receiving my master’s next year…pictures will be sent….Oh to number 7, I have had a graduations for pre-k,6th grad,8th and high school. They make you feel special and mark accomplishments. To make such an asinine statement shows the lack of responsibility toward children and uninteliigence that you posses. I hope one day you can see the importance of lifting our children up that society constantly belittles.

  43. boomby .

    what an adorable cutie piieee

  44. Divab

She is sooo pretty! Congrats cutie!

  45. hood_shit

great idea Angel…. keep pushin forward ma!

  46. Nothing But Love

Awe shes so precious….. well done Mya, keep it up!!!

#7 get a life……your an idiot, children have to start somewhere and your supposed to encourage them from an early age. So in future keep your loose rap to yourself.

  47. cuteness lol

    @ 31 much agreed.

    Very awesome idea Angel.

  48. THERE IS NO NEED

Congratulations to the little cutie in the picture. I also have niece who just graduated from Preschool herself. My youngest sister also graduated from college with double major and studied abroad in South Africa. My family and I are very proud of her.

Congratulations to everyone who knows someone who graduated from preschool to a Master’s degree. Society constantly tell people of color that we are unsuccessful and do not achieve much in life and that’s a lie from the devil himself…we need to uplift and encourage on another regardless of what degree we obtain. May each graduate here and unknown be blessed and achieve great things in life.

  49. Shakera

Ahh my little sister grafuates form pre school next week. I luv you Iyanna!

  50. Mr. FAMU

My niece graduated from pre school too!

  51. Whytry?

She’s so cute! Congratulations to all the Graduates!

  52. LOVEHATE

Dang y didnt u do this last year when i graduated Angel!!!!!!

  53. I love 2 C children accomplishing their goals even if its head start to college. 1 thing we can never put a color is education. My daughter received 5 awards 2day. Although she’s only 7, I was getting a lil teary eyed watching her cross that stage. cuz I could just picture her walking across that stage as a young adult! Education is the key 2 success and children hold the future key!

  54. I think this will be a good segment…

And I’m not afraid to actually say I kind of agree with #7…

I always thought the graduations for the elementary school kids was ridiculous, lol.

  55. ThinkAboutIt

CONGRATULATIONS to all of the GRADUATES !
    Such a wonderful accomplishment.

  56. jus my opinion

she is soooooo adorable!!!!! congrats sweetie!!!!!
i graduated from h.s. last year….will be getting my degree in a couple years!!!

angel this is a great idea****

  57. littlebit2006

She’s adorable. Cant wait till my college graduation in 2010.

  58. politicallyincorrect

Thank you TKJACK25, even Barack Obama stated there is too much celebration in our community with these Kindergarten graduations. Ok be proud of the kid, buy them lunch and call it a day, and make sure they go to the library during the summer.
