I’ve always been a sneaker chick myself, so when I see stars rocking the latest, I have to do a post on it. So far this month, those Retro Nike Blazers have been popping back up on various celebs..
First up, Jay-Z. Anything he wears always brings in a bunch of emails. As for the ones above, we have the Nike Blazer High’s in White, Black, Metallic Gold and Orange. Coming in at $74.99.
Next up, we have Rihanna. The singer was spotted at the airport a couple weeks ago rocking some All-White Nike Blazer Lows. You can get these for about 70 bucks at various online shops..
Last but not least, we have Bobby Brown rocking his Black, Metallic and Red versions of The Nike Blazer Highs. Same as Jay’s but different color.

yes a t-shirt, jeans, and sneakers WORN THIS WAY is too young for a guy his age. It’s all in the interpretation..Just like I wouldn’t look twice if I saw a middle-aged woman getting along on a warm day in a tank and shorts, but what if she’s wearing a top covered in glitter and shorts with pink stars? Mariah Carey is an example…the stuff she wears is not age appropriate (and it’s tacky, but that’s not the issue) and it’s not because she only wears skimpy stuff, people only think that… it’s because she doesn’t wear skimpy stuff the way she should. I couldn’t even make a list of the random Hollywood women who go out in very short dresses/shorts…Jada, Kate Hudson, Liv Tyler, Eva Langoria, Heidi Klum, Gabrielle Union…all these women are in their thirties and yet we don’t taunt them like Mariah because they know how to pull off a skin tight dress…what shoes to wear, what jewelry…what hair… Mariah doesn’t. And trust me…Jay Z recognizes the difference…he started the Jerry Seinfeld look for rappers. lol And it was hot! Even in the pictures from vacation he dressed that way…sometimes even in twill shorts… so I think we have a point when we say he looks too young now…he’s dressed like a kid.

Jay is always fly and dresses appropriately for each occasion. You guys need to get off the age thing. It’s a feeling. Some 20 year olds should not wear some of the things they wear because of their bodies. And you guys know he is not trying to look young. You know this is totally his style. It’s about what you feel. If you see him in loafers you guys would say “that is not him”.

I love Nikes I really do and I’m young so I’m still in my kicks phase, soon I will be rocking high heels but my campus is on a giant hill and I’m not trying to walk to class in some heels lol. Idk if I would get Jay Z’s or Bobby Brown’s version. The bottom of the shoe looks really thick but I do like Rihanna’s. I would stick to some low tops and something w/ some colors. Jay dresses fly and can switch it up from casual to formal in a heartbeat. It’s hip-hop style and since he’s in the age group that created it….sorry young’uns but yes, we did….then he, Will, and everyone else can keep doing what they do. There is a way to wear things and Jay has it. I have sometimes criticized dudes who wear a hoodie everywhere, but Jay knows how to wear what’s appropriate for the event. I’ve seen dudes who wear the same thing all the time for everything and that’s wack. He’s far better than, say, LL, who’s stuck in a time warp.
I love to see guys who are comfortable and look good both casual and dressy. It kills me how young’uns try to tell folks how to dress. Who sets the standard? Style has become more universal overall, so get over it.
Look at Halle – she wears things that chicks 20 years younger would wear and looks great. ‘Cause if you can rock it with style, it really doesn’t matter.
As for Mariah, though, she deserves the criticism. But it’s not about age. She’s just plain tacky and always has been. What she wears is tacky when you’re 19.
