This is so inspiring to me ,and let me tell you all why.I am 30 years old ,and i’m starting school for my “G,E,D’.Life was hard for me in more ways than one ,and so i quit school, and gave up on everything. This is not an excuse, but it’s how it was for me until I got the help that I needed to get back on track. When I see all of you young people graduating I know that I can do it.I want to go to college ,and be a better person, and a more productive citizen. Thanks everyone for the inspiration.

this is what i love seeing…. you guys can keep this post and these people on here forever.Graduation for me was the most exciting years of my life (graduating from high school and college). For the highschool grads: keeping doing what you do and achieving more… For the college grads… you guys did it! keep setting the example for the younger ones under you , show them the right route because so many of them are lost right now…. Im proud of all of them especially the guy going to harvard…. my hat go off to you… I hope you all do well. Im glad to see males getting degrees. I like seeing black people getting their education on… we are more than snappin our fingers and fighting and shaking out behinds, we are more than trying to get with flava flav… we are more than that… we have knowledge, power, and education… and no one can take that away from us.

@ Crystal heck my mother was 30 when she finished getting her hs diploma from some adult school and 32 when she went on to get some higher education….age don’t stop you…I see people as old as 60 in classes with me and other youth under 25 getting first degrees or finishing. Don’t know you but I believe in you and much success.
@ 77 I concur.
@ 53.KC I say the same to myself… I think it’s like you those are our people right there……whether we know them or not it’s because they show some of the best of us and it’s something vs what most media likes to portray us as (gangbangers, murderous, leeches, etc.).

Congratulations to all of the graduates! What a wonderful wonderful post–I actually teared up, especially when I read Crystal’s sincere determination and resolve to complete her education. You can do it girl and when it starts to get a little tough, think about all these smiling faces and your CL friends cheering you on from the sidelines.
