@ms_mac: Yeah the other posts were mostly women, but seeing the men succeed as well (summa cum laude, medical doctors etc) is so uplifting, as is the presence of fathers in the pictures, especially the father of Lil Alyssa reading on a 3rd grade level.

God bless you and thank you so much for this. We can complain about “the white-man” all we want, but it’s gotten us nowhere. We have the resources now to make the public aware of the success our people achieve, and what you are doing here is an example of it.
Let’s get over the victim’s mentality folks, and move forward. Thank you again for this, and congrats to all the grads, especially those little ones.

“I love the overwhelming response to this section, but do you guys feature non-black graduates? Just wondering.”

No offense but this is a Black blog and one of the few places where I’ve seen anyone make an attempt (on the web or on TV) to consistently put our young Black youth in a positive light. Personally, I’d like to keep enjoying that. We (Blacks) just don’t get that everyday.

@ 32. I feature concrete loop visitors / readers that submit their photos. The majority of our readers are black though, hence the majority of photos will be of black graduates. I am aware that we have a very diverse audience and will feature anyone who sends in a photo (that follows the rules, of course).

Going through all these photos of the past few days have really inspired me in different areas of my life. Gotta love it.
