The Dream teams up with popular alternative/rap band the Gym Class Heroes for their new single, “Cookie Jar.” The single is from their upcoming album, The Quilt, which is due out sometime in September.
Even though I think this single will be a good look for GCH, this hook sounds a lot like T-Pain’s “Buy U A Drink” as far as the melodies go. The Dream might wanna be a little more careful!

I love Gym Class Heroes first album the best but good start though. They tend to not let anything be repetiitve so its cool for what its worth.

I actually really like the beat and the tone of it. I felt the urge to get up and dance, but the lyrics threw me off. I strongly dislike glorifying promiscuity, especially when males are whining about how they can’t help themselves because of how irresistible women are. No, you’re just a slut…. a male slut… plain and simple. If women were raving about how they couldn’t resist peen, they’d be looked at as nothing more than a sperm bank. Meh, oh well.
The Dream is the biggest hack among songwriters since I don’t know what. You can’t even call him a songwriter because all he does it repeat the same line three times over; song writer my ass, more like line writer. As much as I like GCH, this one isn’t nor will it ever be a favorite.

Not really feelin it .. Its somethin I could tolerate but I dont like it on GCH. And it DOES sound like Buy You a Drank. I think it will be a hit, A lot of white people like GCH, not saying that black folks dont, but they wont hear the similarities like we would … They can drop that mess somewhere for all I care.
