Ashanti wore shorts just about everywhere this month, showing off her great legs. Meagan Good seems to favor her high waist shorts that she rocked only a week apart, while Kelly Rowland and Mariah Carey have always been fans of hot pants. Zoe Kravitz who has a definite style of her own, has always been on top of the trend wearing her frayed style short shorts around and about.

Well I have to the legs for them but I think high waist pants or short look better on curvy women like Ashanti or Beyonce. Not slim women like me or Kelly ( even though look aight on her). I really would have to try them on though.
i like the high wasted options but the regular short shorts are more casual for every day and not as trendy. i bet the linen ones are really cool in the summer. good pics Tianna!

No celly whatsoever and a nice hump. I’ve never been fond of short shorts but I think the high waist ones with a nice blouse are classy. I have some peeps toe pumps that would really set it off!

One thing is for sure this is a style I can’t rock as of yet. Maybe by August I can rock it . Gotta get them legs looking right. I would rock the short shorts though.

Thanks for actually posting things that are at a reasonable price Tianna. I can definitely rock some of these looks. I’m loving how Kelly Rowalnd put her outfit together. I usually love what Ashanti wears, but I actually prefer the one piece short set that she wore on Regis and Kelly.

I haven’t wore short shorts in over 10 years. I think they are for young adults and I’m an adult…lol. Ashanti and Kelly are the only ones up there that are rocking the look. I must admit, Mariah’s legs doesn’t look bad in them but I know she’s pushing 40 so it’s just wrong.
kelly and zoe rocked them the best. meaghan looks like she took a pair of mommy jeans and cut them, ashanti’s are too tight like she’s wearing her sister’s shorts, and mariah just looks like a ho. zoe looks like she’s chilling and kelly looks sexy.

If your inner thighs rub together when you walk, thus causing the inner part of the shorts to ride up into your crotch area, you may want to stick to long pants.
Ashanti Def Has The Shape For Those Shorts, Her Placed Next To Kelly And Them Blow Them Off The Map And Show Them How To Really Rock Them. Although Her Shirt Has Cute Colors Its Not The Biz. Anyway Ashanti Still Got This One.

Kelly has a beautiful tone, chocolate legs with a nice curvy body for her small frame. If your a skinny chick with nice legs then you should buy short shorts. If your a curvy chick with beautiful legs then you should buy the high waist. *****~ But ladies Please don’t buy them so tight that they are spreading your ass cheeks apart because you will be sending the fellas and some ladies the wrong message. I guess I’m a weirdo b/c I can’t stand wearing shorts when it’s HOTT out. I stick to summer dresses (halter, spaghetti, tube)..I need air down there…hehe.
It’s 91 degrees today(Florida). I could imagine wearing jean highwaist (or not) shorts in this humid hot weather.
Give me a sundress, flip flops, cocoa butter and a fresh pedi and I’m good.

I like the shorts but like like to wear mind a tad bit longer then the short booty shorts. I find that if go to the misses section instead of the juniors you can find similar short that are about an inch or two longer. Plus they still look cute & are more foregiving on those of us who have a little cellulite.
I hate those shorts no matter who is wearing them. They looks so country.
I feel like CIARA definitely had something to do with this whole high waist jean fad. And she rocked them well…in her “Promise” video and all around during promotion for the Evolution album. She definitely brought that style to light. Go CiCi!

groundbreaking & i jest of course. my answer is none as the execution is trite and dated by a minimum of 2 years. how many times must we see a high-waist with buttons & a ruffle blouse. or a high-waist with a tee and peep toes or sandal variant. again groundbreaking.

Mariah looks best in them. And fuck y’all calling her a hoe. She has the best looking legs, and she has no kids and can do whatever the hell she wants to do. People complain about getting older but Mariah keeps rocking it like she’s young and is happy.

Those shorts are right for me I got nice legs to match cellulite free!! Keeping them tight always hittin the gym!!
They key to this look is not trying too hard…Zoe looks good and I think Meagan just lucked up…she looks good because she’s obviously not that familiar with high end fashion to muck it up…so, it’s cool with her tee…
