This looks alright. I just don’t see the intensity compared to other soldier movies. I might still go see this though.

Micheal Ealy is my man with those pretty eyes. This looks kinda interesting.

Disgusting anything that has any intelligence and is about Black or latinos and people dont even want to support it but will run to see another movie about the same situations with whites in it…what a shame. this movie looks like it might be better than the Inside Man and thatwas as great as the Usual Suspects or She Hate Me..Spike Lee is pure brilliance and this is going to be great. He has never ever put out a bad movie.

Also Derik Luke is second billing..Laz Alonzo a Cuban black Latino is the main character. I cant wait till someone produces a movie about the black men who liberated the Jews after WWII. My uncles told me that they were kissing Blacks and Latinos feet when they entered those camps and defeated the Germans.

I will definitely go see this movie because I believe we should support brilliant directors and creators like Spike Lee. I think its great theres gonna be a movie out there thats going to another realm besides comedy or mediocre drama.

This looks like a great movie. If you don’t want to watch the movie at least read the book which is great. The other books by James McBride are also very good. To the person who is upset that a black guy is kissing a white girl, don’t be mad. It’s history!!!! If it happened, it has to be in the movie. Our people need to start educating themselves. We are the only race that does not know what we have achieved. White people know their history, asians know their history, latinos definitely know their history. Black folks hell no. We don’t know our history. It’s a shame. I’m a teacher in the south and students didn’t even know what a noose was. We are near a damn plantation. As Paul Mooney said “KNOW YOUR HISTORY!!!!!”

I can’t wait. Spike is too fly…… I’m intrigued by the story. And fine ass Derek Luke, Laz Alonzo and Michaerl Ealy are a plus. This looks good

I like Laz too every since his days on BET. This movie looks interesting. I know I went to Champps in Dallas and I saw alot of brothers with white, asian, mexican, and some black women. It was a whole table of them interracial couples tho’ so like they said its history and it’s not going to change.

#19 How they gonna “KNOW THEY HISTORY” when nobody’s TEACHING their history. I had this discussion with Dr. Cosby a few weeks ago and talked about the fact that if black history was mandatory in schools, then black kids might straighten up and have some pride within themselves. But the white people who make up the school curriculum have gotten away with soo many years of omitting everything about black history other than Martin Luther King Jr. that nobody seems to know nothing about nothing.

I just went through a rigorous and very extensive course on black history and some of the things I learned in that class…black folks will NEVER know…because if they did they would band together and stand tall instead of acting like whites are ever really gonna give us a fair shake. This country was built and structured in such a way that blacks would fail for years and years to come. I applaud Spike for doing this film and for doing all of the films that try to teach us about our history cause lord knows the rest of these hokey filmmakers and school systems out here aint trying.

Oh andy shut up talking about Spike is dissing clint eastwood….. are they rappers now? Did Spike somehow hurt your feelings? You mad? lol oh snap movie director beef lol. Grow up.

I can’t wait for this film! Spike Lee has never dissappointed me with his films and they are always made to teach something. I am also glad that he picked some great African American actors instead of picking some rappers. In my eyes if you can watch gladiator, 300, Indiana Jones and learn all about Romans, Spartans, etc then you can learn about the missing link which was the African American man.

The trailer looks really good and I’m a Spike Lee fan, so I go to see all his movies anyway…it’s about time someone put out a film about the contributions of Black soldiers during WWII from other movies would think there were no Black soldiers over there at all.

I am definitely going to see this movie. I love Spike Lee’s movies. I am working learning as much about black history because we have been so deprived. A way to fight ignorance is with truth, not opinions because opinions can be argued, fact is simply fact.

This movie seems really interesting, I like seeing movies that portray African-Americans in a positive light. Spike Lee always does a good job.

I will go and see this film.Spike Lee is a very misunderstood man he has helped alot of blacks get jobs acting in front of the camera and behind the camera.But I hope that he lightens up on giving long lectures and scolding people on racisim.Because it does not make Hollywood change its backward ways on race.It just gives the media a opportunity to label Spike as being a crazy angry black man so that people won`t go and see his films.He needs to follow the example of Obama who stays calm and reasonable when he encounters racism so that the media does not stereotype him as a crazy angry black man.
