First up, congrats to Lil Wayne for selling a million + copies of Tha Carter III in its first week. Imagine if no one bootlegged it, or maybe that helped. Who knows. Anyway, our friends over at That Grape Juice also got some exclusive info about an upcoming album from Lil Wayne.
According to T-Pain, who was recently in London for a listening session, he is working with Weezy on a ‘Best of Both Worlds’ type of record.
With a current working title of ‘He Raps, He Sings’, the pair have already recorded a few tracks for the record, however will enter the studio in October to record the bulk of the LP. According to T-Pain, Timbaland is being tapped to produce the majority of the project. [SOURCE]
SANTOGOLD TO JOIN COLDPLAY
Santogold will support Coldplay on part of their North American arena tour this summer. These will be the first Santogold live dates in the US since SXSW and Coachella where her performances became highlights of the festivals. She will also perform at this year’s Lollapalooza and Central Park SummerStage.
Downtown/Lizard King released Santogold’s self-titled debut album in April and it instantly became one of 2008′s most acclaimed albums with Rolling Stone declaring her “The future of music, today” due to the album’s genre-defying sound. Critics and radio have championed the record’s first single “L.E.S. Artistes” and the video became an online sensation. Keep reading to get Santogold tour dates…

Go head Weezy do ya thing!! Let them haters keep hat’n cuz you stay doin you, Y@ D!gg
I guess im too old school with it, when it comes to music…. Wayne is garbage. T Pain is aight. Im not a hater. I just dont agree with everyone saying this dude can rap. His metaphors are just stupid sometimes. He makes a metaphor with almost everything he says.
He’s had a couple hot tracks here and there, I won’t lie. But I dont think this album is anywhere near what people are making it out to be. But I guess my opinion really dont matter huh? Cuz he already done sold…..
Oh well. My opinion still stands. But I will congradulate him. Because that’s not often a hiphop artist can sell that much soo soon. So congrats.
