Get into this awesome collaboration between soul man John Legend and the master of funk, Andre 3000. The first single from his third studio album, which is set to hit stores sometime at the end of summer is “Green Light.” I personally think that this is exactly what John Legend needs to be doing – and I definitely see this as being one of my top favorite songs of the summer.
The production, vocal arrangement and lyrics on “Green Light” just go hard, and 3000 really brings it at the end of the track. I’d really been waiting on this track, and I’m very eager to see what The Neptunes and Kanye West brought for Legend’s new project. Dope stuff. So much good music this summer.

J. Legend sounds like he is going in a different direction this time around. His voice still irks me at times but overall the song gets a thumbs up from me.

Dope tune! I’ve personally found John Legend to be a bit ‘wishy-washy’, ie BLAND, particularly with his Once Again release. Get Lifted wasn’t bad, in fact it was great in places, but Green Light is the one! Brian is right, it’s exactly where he needs to be and will be a mega hit both in the States and over here in the UK.
We love that old skool Drum and Bass/Jungle/Dubstep sound that was big in the 90′s. Andre 300 does that so well, that tune he had with Kelis, Millionaire was along the same lines.
I’m looking forward to his new release!

Nice song. My aunt knows John Stevens (legend) parents and use to babysit john. His father is an artist and did this awesome pencil sketched drawing on his sisters.

I am a fan of John Legend but I have to disagree with most. This song is not him but more Andre3000. I love the song he did with Consequence (Feel this way). That was HOT! I am not feeling this one. It’s a little too fast. Kind of like strip club music.
