Sen. Hillary Clinton won another lopsided victory over Sen. Barack Obama in Sunday’s Puerto Rico Democratic primary. With 68 percent of the vote, Clinton gained 38 delegates. Obama gained 17, moving him closer to the Democratic nomination with only 47 more needed.
Clinton thanked Puerto Rico for her victory and added: “More people across the country have voted for our campaign. More people have voted for us than for any candidate in the history of presidential politics. We are winning the popular vote. Now there can be no doubt. The people have spoken, you have chosen your candidate.”
At a campaign rally in Mitchell, S.D., Obama said he had called Clinton to congratulate her, adding: “Senator Clinton is an outstanding public servant, she has worked tirelessly during this campaign … and she is going to be a great asset when we go into November.”
Following an ongoing media firestorm regarding his former pastor, Jeremiah Wright, and a supporter’s recent sermon, Sen. Barack Obama announced on Saturday that he had resigned “with some sadness” from Trinity United Church of Christ.
At a news conference in South Dakota, Obama said he didn’t want his “church experience to be a political circus” and added that it had been months since he had attended Trinity.
He and his wife, Michelle, notified the church in a letter on Friday that they “were withdrawing as members of Trinity,” in part because of “a cultural and a stylistic gap.” He added that he regrets “all the attention that my campaign has visited on” the church. Continue Reading »

T-Pain is gearing up to release his new album, Thr33 Ringz on September 30th. T-Pain is known for his songs about drinking himself under the table, so it only makes sense that his new single, “Silver & Gold” is about mixing silver and gold Patron to create a new drink. The song, to me, is a little underwhelming in comparison to T-Pain’s previous material. I can’t really say that I’m digging it, even though it’s definitely going to catch on at clubs and radio.
