OBAMA’S SPEECH ON FATHERHOOD

@50 and 56 Thank you, I don’t understand why people got offended especially seeing that the person who I was talking to didn’t respond to it. I go by what the Bible says. Again it’s good to someone read the Bible with understanding.
@Kia TruthBTold made a comment about him being a christian, you clearly don’t have a problem with her saying that. Plus he gave his speech at a church so I can tie it all in if wanted to.LOL!!!!!
Who said I was judging him? I was clearly just showing what the Bible said. Therefore I was just going by what God’s word have to say. Like #56 said, if you have a problem with that take it up with him not me, he set the standards not me.SMH.
You can’t support same-sex relationships and then turn around and say I’m a Christian and same-sex relationship is a sin. That’s begin hypocritical and non-Christian like. I never said that I look for perfection. SMH. If anyone was perfect then Jesus scarafice wouldn’t have been necessary now would it.SMH. Do you know this man? All I did was state what obvious to anyone who read the Bible with understanding, that he isn’t a true Christian. Get over it. Love you still bye
@KIA I know how to tie this in there are studies that show that a lot of causes of ho***sex*ality is due to there not being a father in household.
The family is too pretty. Great Speech and hopefully some ears were attentive.
I love how they present themselves…Full of class…Vote Barack in November!!!!
Sonned!! Right on the money.

and #56…”If you are a believer , the word is what it is”…aint nothn but the truth.
Its nyc 2 c ppl on here that can form an intelligent conversation…aside from who can sing and who cant…
fuck this bulshit. hoe come pple never call out these so called “strong sistas” on their bullshit. how come nobody ever callsthem out on making bad decisions in the kind of men they accept to lay up with. women will chase thugs, pimps, players, hustlers all day and not use any type of protection. then when they become pregnant they expect these men to become good fathers. they knowingly fuck with no good bum excuses for men and expect good results. people need to take responsibility for their actions. i am tired of pple always blaming men for shit in the black community. sistas are just as resposible because of their fucked up poor selfish choices.
but damn, i understand hes apolitician so i guess he has to try to get the female votes by pandering to women. freakin simp. he had my suport till now
I appreciate President Obama’s comments on fatherhood. People often neglect the importance of the presence of a father in a life of an individual, not only at childhood but all throughout life. And yes I said it President Obama I am speaking with faith and conviction that America we are too smart to make another 4 year mistake. We just cannot make such an error again. NOT ON OUR WATCH. WE WANT CHANGE AND WE WILL DEMAND IT COME NOVEMBER
OBAMA 2008 AND 2012
I am so happy to see Barack Obama and his family. They are such a great example of postive African Americans today. He is such an inspiration to me. To see him come from seemingly nowhere and grind his way to being the Democratic nominee is exactly what we need to see in these times. I applaud Michelle Obama because I know that she has to be a very strong woman. She has to be strong for her husband, for her kids, and for herself. She faces public scrutiny everday and still manages to be poised and graceful. I may not support all of the views of Obama, but I am proud for his place in history.
Why does a politician being Christian important? Does that make him a better politician?
I’m glad Obama didn’t go all Bill Cosby on black America…. any fool can have or make a child indeed. Good single mothers do need support especially from the person who in part made those children. Great speech man. His little laugh at 11:28/11:29 was great. lol. lol @ him making fun of people bringing about things they are supposed to be doing. He’s right about people being so wrapped up in the individual and forgetting about others. But that’s the general well aura of America….the individual….be self-sufficient….get yours. It’s fine for a while but you can’t forget others. Nothing weak at all about being kind or considerate, etc. that’s called being HUMAN. America definitely needs to catch up with other countries as far as paid maternity and paternity leave. It’d be nice if he does speeches like this outside of church. I think he roped in a few religious people with the Jesus Christ and God bit. Anyways other then that great video.
@68
First off reading is so very FUNDAMENTAL.
second is Barak’s mom a *strong sista*?
no don’t think so
I have alot of biracial friends who don’t have thier fathers around either. Seems like the common denominator in these relationships is the ABSENT BLACK FATHER
your line of reasoning sucks.
I thought the speech was very powerful as most of his speeches were….but I also find that women for the most part are just as to blame for their single parentness as men. If we lay down with dogs we will get up with fleas. That being said men still need to man up.
As for the the argument about whether or not hes a true Christian man or what beliefs he does and doesn’t support, we do not know what God’s plan is. We just have to trust and have faith that whatever happens is part of God’s plan and to be prayerful. In either case God’s Will will be done.
@73 That statement made know sense at all. If you read the Bible again with comprehension and insight then it’s clear what “God’s plan” is. Barrack actions go against Chrisitainity.

Was anyone else trying to figure out why the white guy behind the Obama’s was looking so tensed up in church? It took me a minute to see that he was secret service. I always good to see the family up in a church!!!!! God bless them and watch over them!!!
Fatherhood is so important and even the little moments count. The Ad Council and National Responsible Fatherhood Clearinghouse just released these great videos to encourage fathers to “take time to be a dad today”.
