Beyonce got a very raw deal in Dreamgirls… they used her to sale that movie and bring people to the theatre.. they portrayed her role as being the lead.. the original cast that was promoted did not even include Jennifer Hudson .. It was Jamie Foxx .. Beyonce Knowles… Eddie Murphy… Now when we got to the theater we saw Beyonce in a very weak role with very limited lines.. and Jennifer Hudson in the starring role with a strong character and story line .. we do not know what B could have done in a role like Jennifer Hudson.. I think with the right role B would rock .. Dreamgirls was a set up and they used her… If anything I think it was a bad career decision ..they were to scared to lose money by headlining Jennifer Hudson as the star… So I know B is about to blow yall away she got alot to prove to all you haters

Agree with #228 - they totally used her to sell that movie. Even the ads of the 3 ladies were all of Beyonce’s image and body. What the hell were they thinking taking an emotionless, non-speaking part? Beyonce was so caught up in it I don’t think she realized it until after Cannes that it was a wrong move. It’s cool though because Beyonce raked in the $$$ off the soundtrack, got paid the most of the actresses and for the DVD sales. Lucky for her the critics thought she did a good job in such a meaningless part.

people! u’ve seen her in dream girls and i can see her improvement in the trailer of this new movie. this is the first time that she will not sing in a movie.

To be honest i thought the only reason Beyonce could act the little bit that she could was because she was only in movies that she used her voice to distract from her acting but, when I saw the previews to this movie I was like I’m so proud of her for stepping outside that box. She’s actually going to show her real acting skills and I feel like it’s about time. I don’t think she’s that bad. She just needed more experience in acting without the music. The previews looked like she did a good job but we’ll see when it hits theatres and I will be going to see it the day that it comes out. Love you B! Keep doing your thing!
