You guys are talking about 2 different interviews, like you said. I know what you’re talking about and I believe it was in Rolling Stone, but I could be wrong. They asked him who he was voting for and he said at that moment he didn’t know. He had spoken to Obama a few times, but he hadn’t made a decision yet. He said it was because where he grew up at, politicians didn’t give a damn about them–not in those exact words, of course LOL–so he never really got too involved in politics but that he needed to do some more research about Obama and the rest of the candidates before making a decision.

March 6, 2007 — Sen. Barack Obama raided rival Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton’s home turf last night - ringing up cash at a fund-raiser at record exec Antonio “L.A.” Reid’s Manhattan home, where he rubbed elbows with Brooklyn-born hip-hop mogul Jay-Z and his gal-pal Beyoncé, sources said.

Obama was feted by a group including the son of philanthropist George Soros, and former John Kerry fund-raiser Jamie Whitehead.

He also went to an earlier meet-and-greet hosted by hosted by Warner Music honcho Edgar Bronfman Jr. that designer Tommy Hilfiger attended, the sources said.

The fund-raiser was described as an event featuring mostly Wall Street execs and black professionals who make up Obama’s most natural base of support.

Sources said people there were aware that Obama had just returned from Selma, Ala., where he and Clinton commemorated the civil-rights struggle.

He alluded to the trip, although he never mentioned Clinton, the Democratic front-runner for 2008.

Obama’s camp officials declined to comment or say whether they think he can be competitive with Clinton in terms of New York dollars.
