I haven’t really been keeping up with Mariah’s album so much. I just remember that her next single is supposed to be “I’ll Be Lovin’ U Long Time.” But I guess they are still pushing “Bye Bye,” because here’s a new remix of the song, featuring Akon and Lil’ Wayne, who were both on TRL this week. Lil’ Wayne’s new album, The Carter III was released Tuesday and expected to do great numbers next week on the charts.

When I first saw this video on MTVJams, I was really thinking “What am I watching right now?” The imagery of the video reminded me of Ne-Yo, but I think that’s just because of the Michael Jackson-ness of the video. But this boy, O’Neal McKnight, can really dance. I’m not sure if I buy the whole gimmick – with the sequins gloves, dancing in suits and all of that. But I’m kind of digging the song. I don’t know.

Solange Knowles, who appeared on TRL yesterday chooses “Sandcastle Disco,” featuring Q-Tip as her second single from her album, SoL-Angel & the Hadley Street Dreams, which drops August 26th. We’ve posted a version of this song, but here’s the final version, featuring Q-Tip. The track was written with Cee-Lo and produced by Soulshock. Definitely digging the song, and I love the verse that Q-Tip added.

We posted London’s song, “One 2 Many” in our Hot Or Not section a few weeks ago, but here is a remix with rapper Flo-Rida. I wonder if this will be the version of the song they release as a single to give London, who is newly signed to Universal the push he needs. I’m digging the song a little more than I was before, I think after I started listening to it more, it started to grow on me.

The Bye Bye remix was probably the best out of all the selections. Solange should have put Akon and ZWeezy on her track. Hell they all should have put Akon and Weezy plus a lil T’ Pain on all of these songs. LOL!
Solange is picking some good songs. The songs are refreshing and enjoyable, but forgetful after a few minuets. It will need a lot of play time to stick. She’s talented. She has a beautiful voice and a great sense of style. The only thing she needs to work on is her hair and face. She needs to find a hair style that is more flattering and feminen to her face. The long hair makes her long face look even longer and manly. She needs makeup that brings more attention to her beautiful eyes and tone down on the bright color lipstick. She also need to show more confidence. She has a beautiful body and better looking legs than her sister, so she should showcase them whenever she can. Much love Solange.
