Seems as though Sterling Simm’s new single, featuring The Dream (with Jadakiss on the remix), was previously recorded by friend and follow R&B-crooner, Lloyd recorded the same song. To me, it sounds like Lloyd recorded the track by himself for his new album, Lesson In Love, which hits stores August 5th. But in order to drive buzz for Sterling, they put Dream on the rap to cause some more commotion around the project.
In any event, I must say, I appreciate Lloyd’s version more, vocally. He rides the track better to me. But you know we’ve gotta hear it from you guys too!

I LOVE anything Lloyd & even though Sterling’s version is hot, Lloyd’s is HOTTER.

Sterling has a much better voice than LLoyd. LLoyd’s voice is so weak at times..the music and vocals are better on Sterlings version.
Plus the Sterling version ft Jada Kiss, maybe the site doesnt have that version yet

I think both guys killed the track. Lloyd may appeal more to people because he’s better known. But I think both guys have great voices. And at least Sterling actually had the Dream doing the ‘Ah, Ah/Eh, Eh’, his signature croon, unlike Lloyd. That’s the only thing I didnt like, cuz since it’s The-Dream’s signature ‘noise’ it’s seems like a couple people have picked it up.
I’m shocked there’s such a gap btwn Lloyd and Sterling BUT Lloyd has more Stans so it makes sense now lol. I honestly think Lloyd’s voice is more suited for this song because he can’t do soulful like Sterling. The beat is more a mainstream/urban pop feel and I think Lloyd does that and its just not a good look on Sterling. I still there both did I good job on the song so I voted for “both.”
