Meet Chaz. Some of you may be familiar with this singer/actor from his various movie and television roles from throughout the years; including, ‘The Game’, cult classic ‘The Temptations’, ’7th Heaven’ and more.
He recently wrapped up a stellar Broadway-starring role as Harpo opposite Fantasia in Oprah Winfrey’s “The Color Purple,” and is now ready to showcase his talents on his debut album, “The First One.”
The lead single is “By My Side” and the singer recently opening up on his writing style and technique. Chaz describes himself as a “feel” writer and singer. “I write based on the feeling and energy of the moment,” he explains. “If that’s not there, then my creativity will be forced and I can’t live with that. The melody and lyrics have to be married to each other. It’s hard to produce a song I feel doesn’t make sense.”

I’m liking the video, reminds me of one of Music Soulchild’s videos or whoever that was that had a girl laying on the floor, listening to his music while he sangs…….
I remember him in all that he acted in…. didn’t know he could sing; but it’s nice to have him singing and he is gettin’ his D’Angelo on in the bridge (as someone said b4)!! Just one thing though, Him singing reminds me of Darius McCrary (Eddie Winslow) singing…..so, it’s aight 4 me

Anyway, I like his voice. The song isn’t bad. It reminds me of something Bilal would sing, which is a good thing.

Ok, I love this song, but I really love “Chemical Reaction” to death. Steve on SHMS was playing it to death for a spell and I can not find his CD. I guess the real question is has it been released if not when and what stores. I love the sound not to mention he can sanggggg….. He’s got the looks, the voice, I wonder if he has the moves.
