CL is………………….SO late! Everybody wore neon colors in the 80s and 90s, there was a break from it and now it’s re-emerged…fashion is cyclical.

I love rihanna’s neon nails and the blue below, the colours are fly and funky. The lime green colour on the hottest BREATH chick in the game looks quite tacky. Jordin’s nail colour looks nice too i would def. wear that colour as well.

Im in my 30’s and have been rockin this shit since I was in the 8th grade..Now its “cool” because red carpet folks are wearing it…GTFOH!!!

I was 1 2 rock just the white french or nutral colors. i thought i shud try sumthn diff so ive startd the neon thing. I just switchd from a bright purple 2 a neon pink. I lyk how the colors luk w/ my complexion. dont know if i shud go orange or green next.

& i agree partially with #13 but if u have tips go for a shorter length. the longer ur nails r the cheezier the effect luks. My nails r natural but i do get powder put on them so they wont break. i keepem short so they wont giv off that fake luk. n i must say they are cute. now back to deciding whether orange or bright green next…wat2do?

Like everyone else who’s above the age of 13 I too have been doing this since forever. I hate that trends don’t become hot until someone famous or Rihanna (since being famous means you have talent) does it. I’ll continue to do my thing no matter what as long as I know I’m not swager jacking anybody it’s all good. And for those of you who feel it’s not a good idea to wear neon colors in the winter, step outside the box. Please don’t have the “don’t wear white after labor day” mind set. If you can figure out a way to rock neon green in December and it looks fly, then do it. A real fashionista goes by her own rules and does everything her way. Take Zoe Kravitz for instance. What works for her doesn’t work for everybody but when she does it, she makes you wish you could. Dirty couture and all LOL.

im a freshman in college now and I live
in NC alot of my friends that were from
DC and I have been doing this for a long
time now. I got it from them. people used
to have jokes for days about our “highlighter nails”

but yeah it kinda takes away when it becomes
a “trend” ya know like alot of the interesting
people i know that arent afraid to be themselves
always wore the neon nails where im from

now every tom dick and harry will be
wearing it and thinking theyve started some
type of revolution of “standing out”
