@wtf stop lying. black men care just as much about interracial dating. whenever i’m with a white dude, black men always have to make a comment. one dude had the nerve to imply that i’m not into black men. the problem with black PEOPLE (not men or women) is that some of us still see ourselves as beneath whites subconsciously- some black women do date white guys just to feel like they’ve done better, like they need to be validated by a white man- there are also black dudes who date white women b/c it validates them. the difference is that most black women find black men attractive (i hardly ever hear a black women say a dude is too dark or something) while a lot of black men are sooo caught up in the slave mentality that to them, light or white equals beauty so to some guys, a girl is cute by default b/c she is white. kim looks good but i have seen some ugly white women or ugly light-skinned women get attention from cute black dudes yet when these black dudes want a dark-skinned chick, they’re looking for the most gorgeous one. so it’s not that black women hate interracial relationships, it’s just that black women have been told all of their lives that they are inferior to other women (let’s not even talk about how black women were/are fetishized by some white men. another topic) so when they see some black men believe in this too, it hurts them. personally it used to hurt b/c even though i did get attention from black dudes, i hated feeling inferior to another chick just b/c of skin tone. my confidence grew through ppl telling me i was beautiful but i don’t even think that’s good though b/c women need to realize that we shouldn’t need men to tell us we are beautiful. we should know it. we give guys way too much importance in our lives
