Check out this exclusive from Teedra Moses, “So Cool.” Teedra (who is actually one of my favorite artists), released her debut album, Complex Simplicity back in 2004 and I’ve been checking for her ever since. I actually got a chance to speak with Teedra not long ago, and she is working hard on her second album, The Young Lioness, which we’ve been waiting for a long time.Teedra wanted to let all of her fans know that when it’s out, it’s going to be right and well worth the wait.
“So Cool” is a really mellow, dope song. You can definitely hear Teedra’s Prince influence in the Drone One-produced track. What I love about this track is that it’s different for Teedra, but it still has that Complex Simplicity familiarity. I’m definitely digging it.

I absolutely love it!!!! It sounds like a typical Teedra Moses record to me!!! She had alot of fast pace songs on her last album “You’ll Never Find” and “You Better Tell Her”. She really represents for woman who don’t take any mess. She also has a beautiful record called “Closer” you guys should listen. I found it on Imeem.com.

love teedra moses… the people who dont like this song are probably very young…. someone pointed out that her album is more or less targeted for the 25+ crew and im def that. someone said she sounded like an updated charelle– especially this song… that’s not really a bad thing… i think she needs to stay on her grind like raheem devaughn— that dude has a cult following on the east coast… she needs to do like him and keep grinding $10 mixtapes/cds at her concerts… is she bigger on the west coast or something?

“I hear alot of you talk about an artist being slept on. Well let me tell you a little music biz secret, some artist get signed by labels so that artist can not out shine the current focus( the artist thats bringing the cash). Its called buying out the competition. The other issue i see here for Teedra is that her first album raked in the 25 or older crowd which in the industry is bad for a first time artist. The crowd she would need to target to be successful is the 12 and older crowd which is why this song was made, to try to catch the attention of that younger market because thats where the money is…”
whoever wrote that wants to sound smart; like they know more than the rest of us, but they need to do a lil better research. TVT never had enough money to pull somethin like that off. interscope did it to hot karl when they signed eminem tho
