I am a dark skinned girl also from Houston but I am not stopping my dreams or anything because I don’t have a particular “look” someone wants. Whatever YOU do do NOT give up on your dreams. The Essence Music Festival was absolutely beautiful. Essence did a really good job of bringing so many seminars, celebrity meet and greets, book signings, etc. together –FOR FREE! There wasn’t any violence, from what I saw. Parties, music, and drinking were allowed in the street so you didn’t have to pay for clubs. I had a really great time.
i wish i couldve been there..:/ especially to see kanye,im such a stan of his!and if bow wow is there,i know i could!lol..all his star power is gone.poor thing

Actually I saw that picture of solange and her dad from another angle and he was giving her a kiss on the cheek not whispering in her ear. Solange has always said her and her dad were close when she was growing up because they are the two pranksters in the family and she was the sister who laughed at all his jokes and played the dozens with matthew.
