Singer Solange Knowles and her mother, designer Tina Knowles attended the VH1 Summer Of Soul concert to benefit VH1 Save The Music on Friday in Bridgehampton, New York. Solange and Ne-Yo performed at the private event.

Wow… I haven’t seen Tamia in such a long time. I still play her songs. It would be nice to see her perform and come out with a new album soon. And I see she and her hubby are still hanging on strong. That’s a good look.

I love Tamia and Grant. It’s so wonderful to see a black married couple thriving for years. Especially with both of them being in the entertainment industry. Tamia is a sweetheart. They genuinely seem happy.
Solange is beautiful here from the ankle up. The bright yellow shoes were just too much IMO. We know you are different ghurl, but no need to look clownish trying to get that message out. Mama Knowles could try a shorter hair cut and lighter color to soften her look. If I was Solange, the moment Tamia stepped into the building, I would have dipped. LOL! Would somebody alert Matt Knowles to the fact that he’s no playa and needs to dress like his 60 year old grandfather self should dress. At least a sport coat, dress shoes and dress slacks would have complimented Mama Knowles pantsuit. Queen Aretha is looking nice. I hope no one made the mistake of calling anyone else the queen in her presence. LOL! Neyo looks like he’s doing his thang.

I love Grant and Tamia. People always talk about Will and Jada (who ARE a beautiful couple), but these two definitely deserve props because they have been hanging in there for a minute.
BIG PROPS to Aretha—after looking a mess earlier this year (Grammy’s and such) she looks alright. Has she lost weight? I wonder how many bodyguards had to break up the potential ruckus between her and the Knowles camp. Seriously, she needs to give that whole “Queen” label a rest and move on. The way she complained about Beyonce was totally uncalled for. Bee has nothing to apologize about, so all she can do is remain graceful and civil. Retha, you were damn wrong for that.

Tina’s outfit is nice for an older woman. I think she looks great here but you know this is Beyonce’s future.
