FAITH EVANS’ BOOK ‘KEEP THE FAITH’ IN STORES IN AUGUST

Faith Evans, multi-platinum selling singer and widow of the Notorious B.I.G., is set to release a “tell all” book, titled Keep the Faith: A Memoir, this August.

She revealed plans for the book earlier this year, which is said to detail the highs and lows of the singer’s life, but will also shed light on Evans’ controversial relationship with her late husband, the Notorious B.I.G.

Check out what she said about her upcoming book release via a press release:

It’s been over ten years since Big was killed. I grieved for him for a very long time. And then, as time passed, the icy wall of grief surrounding my heart began to thaw and I began to heal. I remarried, had more children, and continued to record and release more music. I continued to live my life. And while I can never discount the time I spent with Big, I’ve never felt the need to live in the past.

But sometimes, I still find myself thinking about Big being rushed the hospital, and I break down in tears.

It’s not just because we hung up on each other during what would be our last telephone conversation. And it’s not because I am raising our son, a young man who has never known his father.

It’s partly all of those things. But mainly it’s because he wasn’t ready to go. His debut album was called Ready to Die. But in the end, he wasn’t. Big never got a chance to tell his story. It’s been left to others to tell it for him. In making the decision to tell my own story, it means that I’ve become one of those who can give insight to who Big really was. But I can only speak on what he meant to me.

Yet I also want people to understand that although he was a large part of my life, my story doesn’t actually begin or end with Big’s death. My journey has been complicated on many levels. And since I am always linked to Big, there are a lot of misconceptions about who I really am.

I hope that in reading my words, there is inspiration to be found. Perhaps you can duplicate my success or achieve where I have failed. Maybe you can skip over the mistakes I’ve made. Use my life as an example-of what to do and in some cases, what not to do.

It’s not easy putting your life out there for the masses. But I’ve decided I’ll tell my own story. For Big. For my children. And for myself.

The book hits stores on August 29th…

I am very curious as to what she has to say about her relationships personal and professional. I doubt that I’ll buy the book. I’ll wait until the library has copies to be checked out. These tell-all books really serve no purpose at all. I’m currently reading “Hiding in Hip Hop” and it’s just something to do when nothing is good on television. I just want to know is Tupac good in bed? So, I will be reading that book. I think that Faith could have had a better music career had she not been on the label with Diddy. He doesn’t have any really good artists anymore. He’s only interesed in reality television shows. I remember when there were groups signed to his label like Jodeci, 112, Carl Thomas, to name a few. There is no more raw talent under his label anymore.

Faith is one of my absolute favorite singers. ALL of her albums have been bangers! I’d buy any album she puts out even without hearing a single song first; she deserves SO much more credit than she gets!

I’M DEFINITELY GOING TO BUY THIS BOOK, MAINLY BECAUSE I WANT TO SUPPORT THE EFFORTS OF THE TRULY TALENTED AND IN A WORLD WHERE PEOPLE MAKE #1 BESTSELLERS TELL-ALL BOOKS OF THE WOMEN WITH SULLIED CHARACTERS, AND THOSE OF NO MORAL CHARACTER, PRETTY MUCH THE LIKES OF VIDEO HOOD RATS AND WHORES TELLING THEIR STORIES, WHY NOT BUY A BOOK FROM A TRULY TALENTED WOMAN WHO ACTUALLY HAS DONE SOMETHING NOTEWORTHY IN HER LIFE?

I am so very proud of Faith Evans! I have been a fan of hers from day 1! I’m so elated that she is coming out with an autobiography of her life. I’m sure I will be done reading it in a day or two. I know it’s going to be a page turner. I wish her much success with her book sales and future as an entertainer.

She’s plain confused. Is this her foreword? Coz, if it is then i couldn’t expect better from the book. It makes no sense.. “I miss BIG but I don’t feel the need to live in the past”…wtf?

FFaith claims to have been so “depressed” over losing Biggie and claimed how she grieved for him for a long time , but 6 months of his passing the bitch was already pregnant by somebody else that quick and engaged to marry that person. She married him the following year released an album full of happy songs. None of the songs on the album were about biggie. After his passing, all she would do in the interviews i would see her give on telievision is talk about how much she loved her new husband Todd , how she never had a man love her the way that he did. And she even admitted to dedicating her song ” a love like this” to her new husband Todd. She make a song dedicating it to her new husband Todd, but she couldn’t even put one song on there about Biggie. Yeah she was depressed over losing him alright.

I hope she has overcome the pain of big’s death, but i also hope that she can explain how her and the new husband todd has spend’ biggie’s money, even though she was the widow and had a child with him,she has never came out with a scholarship for music or any event for the man, that’s not right at all. Lil’kim may have had her faults but she has always kept his legacy alive, and if Big knew what would have happen after he died , he would have marry lil’kim.Kim love Biggie and will never forget what they had.

After reading one comment about Faith and new husband Todd spending Biggie’s money, i had to reply. First, Biggie’s money and entire estate was split 50/50 between Faith and Violetta Wallace..Originally Faith was entitled to 100% of it because they were still married, but she chose to split it with his mother. If Faith was money hungry, she would’ve kept it all to herself. Second, the 50% of Biggie’s estate that Faith has goes directly to their son C.J. along with Biggie’s daugther Tyanna, from another mother. Faith has explained this in various interviews, so don’t get it twisted to think that she’s living off Biggie’s name and legacy. I think this book is a great opportunity for her loyal fans to hear from Faith first hand everything that went down and how it went down. Everybody who writes a book does it for money. What other reason would you write one? Let’s be real. On the flipside, Faith isn’t desperate for money from this book. Trust, as a vocalist, songwriter, and producer, Faith has money. I hate when I read ignorant comments from people that don’t know what the hell they’re talking about.

    NICE BOOK GOOD LUCK FAITH

This was a GREAT read!! Faith cleared up everything from Kim,Mary,Big’s estate, her hubby, Missy Elliot, her baby daddy, Puff,Charli Baltimore, std’s,abortions, misscarraige, her release from BadBoy,Tupac. All in detail. Good job Faith, we need another CD now!

I just finished reading Faith’s book and WOW!!! She told SO much. I don’t think I would have told alot of what she told (primarily about herself). I think 1. She had 2 write this book 2 just get alot this stuff off of her chest – I’m sure it was VERY therapeautic 4 her. 2. I think she needed 2 clear up alot of misconception. What shocked me the most was how Tupac lied on her & caused this big situation around her. He’s arguably one of the greatest rappers of our time – but he wasn’t a good person alot of times, which I think was reflected in his often violent & troubled lifestyle. All in all, like Faith said “people are going 2 believe what they want to” at least she had the guts (cause it took guts) to tell her story, the good – the bad & the ugly! It’s an extremely compelling book & a good read!

Comeback Faith.. we miss you!! we need a new cd too. your like my favorite artist..

  15. Dmarie

I cannot stand Faith at all. I don’t think she ever grieved over Big because Big’s son was born October 29,1996 and her son Joshua was born in 1997. It takes 9 months to carry a child so who does Faith’s drug addicted most likely broke now ass think she is fooling? She is only writing this book because her and Todd Russaw snorted up all of Big’s money. You think Faith got skinny on her own? Whatever. Lil Kim and Big should have stayed together and he would have still been here. Read between the lines of what comes out of her big flappy lips Big was set up and she had alot to do with it. It is called Karma that is why her and her hubby will end up like whitney and bobby.

I really don’t feel faith is doing this for attention, the woman’s gotten all the attention she needs before and after biggies death. Now occupied by 3 kids ,i doubt attention will be relevantt, she has enough on her mind. I really hope this book concerntartes on her life and not biggie’s ,after all it’s pretty easy to get caught up in that. I kinda feel like it might have more info about him than her…who knows i might be wrong
