I’ve met her twice before, the first time was at her book signing, in NY—she had on some heels, but I had on some sneakers. I’m 5” 7″, but with those heels on, she was eye level to me. The next time I saw her was at a Meet & Greet on her Diary Tour, we were both wearing flat shoes, but the top of her head came up to my chin.

And then, the last time I saw her, I went to her show, but I didn’t get a Meet & Greet. I still saw her after the show, though. I was right by the door that she left out of to get to her bus, she stopped and signed a couple of autographs. There were a few people ahead of me, but I could see her and she looked the same that she did the last time I saw her.

Alicia is not petite in person..I’ve never seen her but a friend did and this was several sizes ago and my friend said Alicia’s got “serious piano butt”…this friend has all the qualities of someone who shouldn’t be judging a black woman’s body, though (white, 90lbs, thinks she’s fat) I don’t know, though… Alicia doesn’t look too small to me. BUT I think she’s gorgeous at this size…she looks feminine and vibrant…like a young Lena Horn or somebody. Usually she has the awful black bags under her eyes and I know she looks that way so often because she’s dieting/struggling to keep her weight in check but she should just opt for the happy medium: “thicker” body and pretty face vs. thinner frame and zombie eyes. She’s got dramatic hips that lend a sort of attractiveness…it can be her thing, I think…since Beyonce is never going to let herself settle at her natural size (which is about this size).
