“I’d hear a song on the radio and wish mine was next. But I respect a lot of the artists who’ve come along since I was out, especially Rihanna. She’s smart and she’s worked the business instead of having the business work her.”
Ashanti also spoke about some wedding plans…
“I’ve been planning my wedding in my head since I was a little girl, and it just keeps getting more elaborate. I’m a huge fan of the Caribbean, so if I don’t get married in New York, it would have to be on the beach.”

LOL, Ashanti doesn’t need to ride high on a chart. She gets song writer money. So she gets paid either way (Besides, she’s not the only notable artist to have a moderate period in her career). The cover looks Good Ashanti. Album still in rotation. I give her props just for being honest, about her current status in the game right now (look closely at her statement), and for not bad mouthing the other females in the game (she’s never done that anyway though).
