MINI TV ROUNDUP: WENDY vs OMAROSA / NIA & SANAA GET ANIMATED
Tuesday, July 22, 2008
I still have yet to peep an episode of Wendy Williams’ show, but I finally got to see a clip of the verbal “cat fight” she has with Omarosa on Monday’s live episode. Omarosa was there promoting her new book, The Bitch Switch and then Wendy called her an “angry black woman”. Peep the video above…
NIA & SANAA GET ANIMATED

According to Black Voices, Sanaa Lathan and Nia Long are on board to get animated for the upcoming ‘Family Guy’ spin off ‘The Cleveland Show’.
Earlier this week, casting was announced for the show, which will center around the character Cleveland Brown – which is voiced by white actor Mike Henry. Lathan, will play Cleveland’s wife, Donna, while Long, will voice the character of rebellious stepdaughter Roberta. ‘The Cleveland Show’ is set to debut next year..

Glad Wendy got b*tch slapped! How you gonna call a black woman an “angry black woman” and get away with that? No way Wendy - you got exactly what you deserved and somehow made Omarosa look like a victim.

Wendy was very confrontational toward Omarosa. She wasn’t inviting at all. Omarosa wasn’t on there to be NASTY to her until Wendy labeled her an ABW and kept attacking her character . . . isn’t that the pot calling the kettle black!

I think Omorosa was being a bitch for no reason. The one time Wendy was being nice and genuine and she just attacked her for no reason. I wanted Wendy to rip her a new one b/c that was completely uncalled for. Completely.

For some reason you choose not to post the beginning of the interview. If you posted the first segment, you will see why Wendy called her the angry black woman. Omorosa came out on the stage with and attitude and tried to attack Wendy before she even had a chance to welcome her. If you ask me, Wendy exercised great patience and was very professional, still continuing to interview inspite of the fact that she was clearly trying to start something. Omorosa was start controversy from the beginning of the interview, so people can do exactly what they are doing today - talk about her.
Omorosa is the stereotypical angry black woman and she’s incredibly immature and unprofessional. She should be ashamed of herself.

Damn never even seen the Amarosa, Williams “fight”.
I’m with Amarosa… Wendy is reinforcing stereotypes…
If a Black woman stand up for herself or goes against the grain she must be an A.B.W.
No it called being strong and going hard for yours
Also glad she called out Wendy for smiling in your face then talking shit on the radio.

The Wendy Williams show is corny!! Last week she kept making mistakes like she was on the radio. She called Kim Kardisian(sp) sister “Large Marge” like Wendy is tiny!! She is an amazon! I will not make an effort to watch that mess again!! I didn’t expect “Oprah 2.0″ but a segment on “Butts (or A@#es) done by her sidekick (that dude) was stupid!! I guess a little light hearted humor in the morning is good but this crazy!!

I can’t stand Omarosa and am prolly one of very few people who LOVES Wendy Williams. I think she did a good job in trying to maintain. Once Wendy was like fukk this and moved on, Omarosa had to start that bullshit up again. I wanted Wendy to get real gutta on her ass but she didn’t… Omarosa’s fifteen BEEN up and I don’t even know why Wendy even had her nothing ass on the show!

“Cookie” sit your ass down….
First things first, Wendy Williams and “professional” do not belong in the same sentence…
You wanna talk about immature who’s all smiles to your face then dogs you the next morning on her radio show?
The fact is not many people who turn up on the Wendy Williams show will like her, but they will turn up because they are trying to promote themselves/sell something….
Amarosa is a hustler, and she made Wendy look like a buffon…

After watching the clip I dont care how gracious Wendell Williams was with Omarosa, she is a hateful monster. And she does talk shit about every person she interviews after and sometimes during her interviews. Wendell deserved everything that Omarosa gave her because if she didnt go at Wendell first Wendell would have gone at her eventually. Im happy someone FINALLY put him in is place. Haven’t had a chance to watch the clip, but I don’t feel any sympathy for Omarosa. She is the epitome of black women stereotypes. Constantly trying to start any type of drama or “beef” so that it can circulate some publicity. I’m sorry that Wendy didn’t dig in dat @ss!

I know a lot of people may not like Omarosa, but I like her. She’s intelligent, agressive ,and knows what she wants. She also has good networking skills since she’s able to keep getting gigs and is now writing her own book. I agree with what she said too. If a black woman is serious about her business and is unrelenting with BS she’s automatically labeled an angry black woman and that is not always the case. If she’s hostile about it then yes, but if she handles herself in a respectful way and is adamant about not being a pushover then that’s cool. There’s nothing wrong with that.
I’m so happy for Sannaa and Nia. They have regular acting gigs. I am a huge fan of Family Guy, so I’ll make sure to watch this and hope it’ll be just as funny.

Im sorry but Omarosa did not tear Wendy up. If Wendy wouldve responded the way she wanted to her show wouldve been over and Omarosa knows that. Omarosa from the get go of the show was acting like an ass. I feel like Omarosa is smart but she goes about shit the wrong way. Shes nasty for no reason. She attacks people for no reason. Wendy is a t.v personality who asks the ?’s we as viewers want to know from celebrities. When I look at Wendy Williams I put her in the same category as the Perez Hiltons. But Omarosa.. like idk.. she definitely is what I dont want white society thinking “this is how black women are”

I don’t care for either Wendy or Omarosa. I don’t like Wendy because she talks WAY too much trash and I can’t stand haters. Omarosa also holds no importance to me. I just wish that people in general can leave the bull behind and do the job. I’m not sure who started what but besides getting confrontational, I’m sure there could’ve been a better way to resolve things. I didn’t watch the clip but I’ll take everyone’s word and assume it isn’t very “friendly” lol. Oh and to Angel, why did you have to mention the voice of Cleveland is by a white dude? Was that really necessary? I’m not trying to start trouble but that did catch me off guard and that’s why I’m asking….

I saw the clip with Wendy Williams, and I want to know why she is frontin like she is a good postive upstanding black woman, when we all know she talks mess and starts drama on the daily. I might like Omarosa all that much, but I can say that everytime I have seen her on TV she carries herself well. she is confrontational when she has to be, but she is very well spoken and intelligent. I think she is right that when a black woman sounds intelligent, stands up for herself and carries herself well, then people assume she is a sell-out or a angry woman, but if she acts ghetto and is a hater then she is a typical black woman. Omarosa might not be the most likable person in the world, but you can’t knock the fact that she is business savvy and smart. Wendy is just trashy!

I dont know if anyone noticed, but we are in an economic recession. You can follow that dumb ass advice if you want to. You get an offer for $40,000 while the rest of the Country is fightin for scraps and you say to the employer, “NO” you’ll more than likely just be replaced by someone with the same credentials who is gonna say, “YES.” Let’s not forget that if youre “offered” a job-the negotiation can only start AFTER you get youre foot in the door and have proven to be an asset to that company. And in todays age, employers know that you are easily replaceble. Especially when Phd’s are scrappin for change. Omarosa is an idiot. Yea, shes educated but look at what she did with that education…she went from potentially having a career equivalent to Condoleeza Rice to getting a divorce, writing a book called (of all things) “The Bitch Switch” LMAO, and being a Red Carpet whore (which she always gets clowned for lookin a mess anyway) come on now…Omarosa is gon get yo ass right back to square one. She may be “paid” by some standards but look at all the money and positive influence she threw away. Who really respects her? Certainly no one of any merit. The Donald sure couldnt stand her ass!
As far as Wendy…she sold her soul a long ass time ago, and we all been knew that

You can tell that O’rosa has been waiting for a chance to tell her off! Wendy may be the shock jock, but she got an arch flash of her own messing with O’rosa.
O’rosa looked better and spoke better! She definitely rocked it better!

OMT - Using the voices and not the faces of Sanaa Lathan and Nia Long is a travesty! These women are too beautiful to be standing behind the curtain talking in microphones. Come on Hollywood…in the immortal words of Djimon Honsou [aka Joseph Cinque from Amistad]: ” “give us, us roles”.

@ COMPLEXNDOPE: Thanks for the extra clip!
Taken in full context, Omarosa went on the defensive right away, which tactically is the smartest thing to do when you’re dealing with somebody like Wendy, who can be a snake during an interview. O proved that she is indeed the superior bitch and cut Wendy’s balls so fast, she was in shock not just once, twice, but three times! NOBODY has ever shut Wendy’s shit so precise that her mouth hung open. Those cuts O served were surgical!
Wendy’s M.O., which most people fall for, is to be sticky sweet, then she’ll shank you, then pull back, then circle back in for the gut cut. Oma let a Wendy know that a you must handle distracting bitches before the bizness could be handled correctly. All n’ all, Oma was a bit over the top, but she simply played by Wendy’s rules and layed waste to the beast. And Omaross is right, Wendy talks her best shit when she’s on her show and the person she’s dissing can’t defend themselves. Oma brought it to her face up front and Wendy blinked. Game. Match. Set.
And even though I sorta love/hate them both, I gotta say Team Omarosa for this round.

When you’re doing voiceover work, the unique thing is that you don’t have to be color specific. Cree Summer from a Different World was the voice of the little white girl on Inspector Gadget, amongst hundreds of other types of cartoon voices she’s done, and Phil Lamarr from MadTv is one main voices on Family Guy, no doubt voicing white characters.
Voiceover work is where many actors, black and white make their bread and butter when they can’t get tv or movie roles and it can be EXTREMELY lucrative if you are able to voice different races and ethnicities. Many of the white voices you hear on radio commercials could be black actors and vice versa.

I’m so surprised at these comments…to be honest BOTH ladies can be labeled as something…O as a stereotypical angry black woman and Wendy just as a stereotypical ghetto black woman and this is the reason both of them are “famous”. On another hand though Omarosa is direspectful while Wendy is simply just annoying… Omarosa was completely wrong for how she started this interview because you all know she wouldn’t have came out at Oprah like she did on this show. U can tell Omarosa was trying to start something with phrases like “I want the more edgy Wendy”…to be honest the entire interview was unprofessional.

I’m glad omarosa dug into wendys trifling ass!!!! She got what she deserved for talking about her on her radio show like trash.. Its about time someone put her ugly 50 pound weave wearing tranny looking ass in her place.. Always trying to call someone out of there name or putting there business in the street.. Wendy is the one who looks like the streotypical angry black women by the way she only tips black women/ men apart on her radio show but dares not to say anything negative about white folks because the white owners of the station she works at will fire her tired black ass !!! She’s a disgrace to the black community always has been.. And she’s a hypocrite .. She’s always calling someone a d- list actor what the hell do she thinks she is a- list? She’s a joke!! Wendy has soled her soul along time again for money and a little bit of fame .. Her and her no good thug ass ugly husband are perfect for each other.. Its called KARMA!!!! She talks so bad about omarosa so her thing was bitch you now have me on your show tell me to my face what you say about me on the radio now she was waiting to get her and I’m glad she did!!!! Omarosa would have no reason to act that way towards oprah because oprah never ever dogged her out , oprah said she’s glad omarosa stands up for herself and does so intelligently… White folks don’t like black folks who ” talk back” and take up for themselves they are ” intimidated” by those types!!!! She is walking billboard for how not to look, act, and be period. She thinks because she has a radio show she can talk to folks how she wants to and people have to take it. I don’t like Omarosa but I’m glad she didn’t let Wendy get the best of her. It reminds me of the interview with Tyra and Superhead when it seemed to start off Ok then Tyra started tearing her up. Wendy has to realize that her interview skills can fly on radio but it needs fine tuning for TV.
There was hardly any talk about the book just stupid questions about why Omarosa hasn’t been seen with a man since her divorce and the stupid angry black woman comment. The look on her face when Omarosa asked her if she had a nose job was priceless. You could see Wendy was trying to compose herself/she realized she couldn’t talk down to Omarosa even with the audience on her side.

I’m on team Wendy. I think she was completely right about Omorosa. Wendy doesn’t take herself seriously and she’s not afraid to talk smack to peoples faces- it isn’t about talking ish behind their backs (she does but she’ll say it to their face too). She doesn’t care, she’s not an ABW she just tells the truth. Whereas Omorosa is inteionally mean and bitchy with a nasty attitude. Go Wendy!

I am so glad someone put Wendy in her place. She has talked way too much ish about other people over the years and has never cared about the repercussions or the people she may hurt in the process. An example that comes to mind is the Method Man incident. She went on the air informing the public about his wife’s battle with cancer and his wife hadn’t even told her family yet. There have been several other examples but this one, in particular, had me hot.
But as #56 said, she is one of those fake type of people who act like she’s all for you but stay trying to bring you down. And then when you confront them about their fakeness, they act like you’re just angry and delusional. So, you let your guard down and they stab you in the back again. Wendy Williams can’t be trusted. And although I don’t like the cattiness of it all, I am so happy somebody finally put her in her place, and not sound ignant while doing it.

I LOVE OMAROSA!. I totally agree that women need to start negotiating our salaries. I don’t like how these two successful black women were coming at each other. Playing the dozens is NEVER cool. But I must say that I might actually go out and buy her book.

Go Omorosa! Although I am not fond of her antics, I am so glad she shut Wendy down. Its called karma, Wendy.
Whether its a business for Wendy or not, she is ugly and a hateful to people all day everyday, so she should not expect goodness to be spoken back to her. She played herself with going up against a real ABW with an education and street smarts.

Omarosa was on the money when she said that black women who are strong are dubbed Angry. She was cool and on point then Wendy called her a typical Angry Black Woman; all because she recommends that you negogiate your salary.

@ch
If all u can do I resort to is cursing at someone who disagrees with you, than you need a lesson in maturity.
As for wendy and omorosa. As I stated, omorosa came to the interview looking for trouble. The first part of the interview makes that pretty clear - u can find it on youtube.
Omorasa does not represent a strong, educated black women. She represents a two-bit reality star who has made her living playing the “angry black woman” for white america. Omorosa is the bafoon and she too delusional to realize it.
For all the people who hate wendy I womder how many go to gossip blogs, because there’s no difference. Some of the comment I read in these post are more vicious than anything I’ve ever heard wendy say.
Her talk show is fun and upbeat and I’m happy wendy didn’t let her turn it into WWF. And no, she doesn’t talk smack about her guest afterwards on the radio. Omorosa would just like to believe she’s that important.

Forgot to add. Omorosa is not a a woman who just strong and assertive and thus missunderstood. She has made a career playing this irrantional, mean, bitter, angry, self asborder black woman for white america. Michele obama is a strong black woman. Not omorosa. Just because you have an attitude all time it doesn’t make u stong, it makes your irrational. Some people can see the difference, but having a chip on your shoulder is not a sign of strength, its actually a lack of confidence. I would never pay for a book entitled “bitch switch”. This is the foolishness white publishing companies like to give a platform too. I guess the only way black women can learn to climb the corporate ladder is by being a bitch… Pure foolishness. When is this fools 15mns up!

i like wendy but she does have bad habit of ripping here guest for no reason. i read the book by miss jones and it talks about how wendy tried to rip judge mathis and he put that ass on point. he let her know that disrespecting him will cause him to fuck shit and her man also. he evidently shut her mouth the legal way also because in wendy’s book she only touched upon the incident and said she could not go any further. the part about the wig was funny and also i love the fact that wendy has made it but if she had to use her looks, it would have been a wrap a long time ago. i never liked omarosa but now i have a new repsct for her. she gives back to the community that is a good thing. its not really talked about because people who really do things for the community and give back, and also enjoy it,do not want it in the papers or on tv. she is strong black woman. she can be a bit much but hey i ain’t mad at her. also if some of black women were just a little like her we’d be better off in a world run by men. we would not be bitching and complaining at age 40 talking about how we sacrficed our lives for men and kids and got nothing in return. that also goes for all women.

dealing with wendy williams you have to go on the defense right away and omarosa has probably seen wendy bite the hell out of her guest. omarosa is laughing all the way to the bank with her eduacated ass. not a gossiping bitch like wendy who made it by talking shit about people. alot of it was not true. throwing out the induendo that diddy was gay from some photos and i saw them. i did not see what she was talking about. when you come on nice to wendy, like carmen bryan, and karrine stephens, she started to rip them from the gate. they did not dis her at all. she came at them wrong. i know they do what they do but wendy should be more respectful. i have a new respect for omarosa.

omarosa does perpetrate the abw stereotype…..she tries to act like it’s a part of her wannabe hollywood gig but she is who she is.
can’t figure why n.e. one would give up a solid education in exhange for a career in which u have no talent or real direction.

Omarosa was treated unfairly on the Trump show years ago by those white girls ganging up on her and she has been a target ever since. She is put on the defensive alot because she is targeted and like Foxy Brown and Naomi. Shannon Daugherty has a reputation but is not treated this way. Wendy actually started the whole confrontation because Omarosa was talking about salary and Wendy chimed in with the ABW remark and Omarosa didn’t let her get away with it. Wendy was feeding into her white viewers at Omarosa’s expense and got got. Omarosa and any other black woman should be able to express themselves without being stereotyped as an ABW but when white women get angry and cry its being human. Its abusive to demonize and invalidate one person and humanize and validate another for the same behavior.

fiffj1234 ….Love what you said.
I think Wendy got just what she deserved. Omarosa had every right to defend herself against a woman that makes it her business to insult and belittle celebs or reality show people. While I cannot stand the mythical Angry Black Woman, I think Omarosa made an excellent anaglogy of how educated, confident black women are perceived versus the same credentials and behaviors of white women.
As someone mentioned Wendy made that comment to Omarosa to appease her jaded white viewers without taking thought to the fact that she was insulting another black women at both of their expense.
Wendy is a trashy person that does trash radio and TV. Hopefully, this will give other celebs ( other than Whithey Houston) the balls to stand up to her when she comes at them with her rumors and insults.

There sure isn’t a side to take here! How does either one’s argument help us out as African American Women. All this watch part one mess, whatever, this was just foolishness straight up! Wendy Williams does not and should not have a talk show, she does enough damage spreading hate and poison on the radio. And Omarosa should just go run her business that she says she has, stop pimping yourself out to television! We have got to do better people!

I ‘m a lady and i have been raised by one of the most educated woman to ever grace this earth but i know wendy i listened to her shows couple of time and i know for fact that she will always side with the whiter person or close to it
Honestly wendy had to overcome some things in her life and i know that at some point she had to yell kick and scream in order for people to listen to her so if anything she should have tried to understand where omarosa was coming from.. I mean everytime a black woman want to voice her opinion she is either jealous, a hater or angry. Why can’t we just be expressing ourselves?
she started with the angry black woman comment and jumped in with the “you’re not my type “i’m sorry but this is 2008 you do not slap someone and expect them to turn the right cheeks
and oma is right wendy don’t know nothing she put that wig on her head sit down and stay blond and push whatever she suffered on the back and smile as hard as she can to please the white man
ON radio she is the most ghetto uneducated female ever she called queen latifah “a dude” she called tameka raymond a “heifer’ and a ‘man.’, she dissed erykah badu, she said that late tupac (r.i.p) was raped in prison, whitney houston wanted to put her foot up wendy’s a..
I mean Come on!
I’m against violence but she is lucky it was Oma because I would have slapped wendy into 2012 and have her quote the color purple for 5 months straight

LOL, I actually tuned in as I was channel surfing that day and was sitting in my seat tripping. For a minute I thought it was scripted…but then later I could tell (even after commercial) that it was real.
I know some say Wendy got what she deserved or Omarosa got what she deserved…but being a person that doesnt care for either I think they both played themselves. Omarosa kept saying how intelligent she was, and how not like Wendy she was, and how she wasnt gonna stoop to her level and ended right down there with her…looking stoopit. And Wendy, Im not sure what her true intentions was for Omarosa, but she got played. Omarosa should have waited until Wendy said something and then got her…by her walking out on the set and sitting on the couch with much attitude (in my opinion) she looked like a fool…more so in some ways then Wendy…cause she let Wendy’s presence get the best of her….Stoopit on both parts.

Omarosa is trifling. Did you see her on “Celebrity Apprentice?” Oh, she was sad.
For one of the challenges they were suppose to raise money for charity by calling their rich friends. She had no one to call and looked like a wet cat. So like the true educated woman she professes to be, she started a fight with the British guy to throw attention away from the fact that she wasn’t raising any money. She made comments about his kids (same nasty approach she used on Janice Dickenson on ‘The Surreal Life’ and says to him, “No son, u don’t know me son, don’t mess with me son” What the hell was that about? How are you going to come off gangsta on the, “The Apprentice?” Are you serious? Are you serious!
And another thing, I’m tired of people trying to make it seem like she did that Black dude wrong on “The Apprentice.” I mean, she did, but not because she was a Bitch. She did him wrong, because she was stupid and ignorant and couldn’t handle the assignment he gave her and instead of just admitting her ignorance she tried to raise up and act bitchy to throw attention away from her own incapabilities.
Some people question, how could she sink from that to what she is doing now? Because she never really belonged there in the first place. Another Star Jones. Trying to outrun yourself and your accomplishments and in the end you get run over.
I have been a fan of Wendy’s for at least twenty years and she is the same person she is now as she was then, except for more make up and better wigs. She is a straight up clown and gossip and she has always admitted that! She says outloud the things that we think to ourselves and only say to our family and closes friends.
I would rather have someone like her in my life then angry, ignorant, disrespectful Omarosa.
Not all women are going to be an Oprah or a Michelle Obama. We are as varied in our personalities as we are in the shades of our skin. Wendy represents that cattiness that some of us only share with our closest girlfriends. Omarosa with her ABW “Angry Black Woman” ways represents the desperation of the Black Woman. Yes, at times some women are angry and desperate, because in America we are treated like we are at the bottom of the barrell. That kind of treatment does make a woman angry. However, we are at a time in history where we can turn that anger energy into positive energy and make things happen for ourselves. We don’t have to come off as “The Bitch,” to prove that we are strong. We don’t have to come off as “The BItch” because we have nothing and don’t see how we can make it to the next day. We don’t have to come off as “The Bitch” to get noticed… unless of course we have nothing else to offer. I’m sure Omarosa’s book will be very imformative for some women that have nothing else to offer but Bitchiness.
