I’m really eager to hear what Solange has cooked up for this album. She coming with somethin’ so fresh, and I especially love “God Given Name”, shit, I love all the songs I’ve heard so far. Ciara, I think, should defintely consider “High Price” for the first single. It’s so high energy, and the opera singing is definitely high energy, and compliments the track very well. Danity Kane, hmmmm…a lil’ late with the single release. But, better late than never!

I hope Ciara doesn’t drop her CD the same day as Beyonce….and am I the only not feeling the 3 disc-CD. But I guess she tryin sumthin different.

Where I live (won’t put my local dj’s on blast) I KNOW it goes on because it makes no sense that songs show up during countdowns (of viewer’s picks, obviously) that NEVER EVER play anytime other than that. You know you’re good when you can write a hit for others too - Michelle’s “We Break The Dawn”, Bey’s “Get Me Bodied” (co-writer, Kelly’s “Bad Habit”, etc. I remember when her first album came out and she was this talented then, but no one was trying to hear her. Now, she’s hitting haters over the head. Sand Castle Disco is FIRE and I can’t wait for her album to drop. Hell, all I’ve heard so far are FIRE. And she sounds just like her records live - much appreciated. Very excited for this c.d.

Yeah, Beyonce’s performances are attracks people. I cant say the same about Solange but I live in New York and I know she dont get played on Hot 97 or Power 105 BUT I’m sure her type of music is getting played on stations like Kiss FM & WBLS. They play songs like I Decided and Gnarls Barkley and them. Solange gets airplay on those stations thats for sure.

Based on what I’ve read on most of the blogs, people are loving “I Decided”. Why is it so hard to believe people went to itunes and purchased a .99 cent single?
Radio barely has influence on the charts anymore, cause of how big purchasing singles and ringtones off itunes has gotten. Billboard started factoring in itune sales from singles and ringtones. Why do you think “Crank Dat Soulja Boy” stayed at number one for so long, cause people were purchasing the ringtone. So if you havent heard “I Decided” on the radio, it means nothing.

Ciara’s theme for the new album sounds like it could be cool, but I’m not too sure about the idea of making it a 3 disc set. Someone pointed out eariler, that you will end up having to keep switching CDs in your stereo. Well I guess not, if you buy the album digitally on itunes. But, for the people that are planning to buy the CD, I think it’s best if she puts all the themes on one CD and just separate the themes with interludes. That would be just as hot but practical and convenient at the same time.

Well good for Solange, but I’ve never heard her single on the radio either. Even the R&B stations don’t play her single, so I understand if people are questioning how she got to number 1.
