Songbird Brandy is gearing up for the release of her new album, and it seems as though she’s got the internet going nuts with this new promo shot that’s leaked. Just a few days ago, she also released a bit of the new material that she’s been in the studio working on, a track entitled “List,” (listen here) that also Brandy fans were going up for.
In any event, it’s been reported that Brandy will release her official first single on August 8th via her MySpace page. Her new album, which hasn’t been titled yet, will be her first release on Epic Records.
It hasn’t been confirmed who the single was produced by, but I’m sure it will not disappointed, with Brandy’s stellar vocal performance, and the host of A-list producers and songwriters on the project. Brandy has relinked with friend and long time collaborator, Rodney “Darkchild” Jerkins, our good friends with The Clutch, the talented Bryan-Michael Cox, and CL’s homegirl, Keri Hilson.

I am greatly anticipating this album, I know it’s going to be hot. One thing about Brandy is that she is consistent, whether its slept on or not, she always delivers stellar music. It’s a plus that she’s working with Rodney, their chemistry together cannot be matched. They set the spark that ignites the fire.
I love all her albums. it’s great to see her back. Now I can add this upcoming album to my collection.

Brandy has a beautiful voice…but I’m a little on the fence about her upcoming album. Contrary to most of the comments, Brandy is not consistent when it comes to good albums. In my opinion Brandy hasn’t had a great solid album since “Never Say Never” her last project “Afrodisiac” was lackluster at best. But I wish her lots of luck! Hopefully this album will be dope.

Sounds like a great line up for the new album. She’s one of my favorite singers and I hope this new album is great but to be honest I never had a problem with any of her albums and I got all of them. STL Chick agree Mariah cd was not good at all I liked 3 songs. Everybody disliked Usher cd but I Love it. Ashanti was better than I thought it would be. I am excited about the same releases you are I would have to add Lloyd and Ciara to my list.

Brandy will surely deliver! She is the empress of R&B. Beautiful girl with a beautiful voice and amazingly talented. Watch this chick deliver an album chock full of beautiful tracks layered with her beautiful background vocals, harmonies, and adlibs. She never ceases to amaze me!

I don’t know about Brandy being better than Aaliyah. In my opinion both brought something fresh to the scene whenever they had an album. I heard List and thought that Brandy could do better. But she has ALWAYS been consistent with putting out solid good albums. Let’s see what she has in store this time around.
Okay Rodney is coming out and talking about his work on everybody’s upcoming album. He released statements on Beyonce’s and Britney’s new records in the same week. And here’s the thing with Rodney, either he gets it really write or really wrong… most of his stuff is unfinished, in my opinion. The only thing he’s done that’s even remotely genius was to slow down parts of “Say My Name.” I think he’s overrated.

Wow, Brandy looks so pretty in that pic. She looks healthy and refreshed. Now this is some real talent right here. I love her voice. On that list track, her voice has really grown. Hopefully she can make a real comeback and not just with the urban crowd, but urban crossover and international.
