Look who was spotted out and about somewhere in California on Monday afternoon. It’s ya girl Brandy looking fantatsic as she jumped into her ride after a quick errand.
The singer is currently putting the finishing touches on her yet-untitled fifth studio album, her first release on Epic Records. I’m sure you’ve heard a few tracks leak left and right, but those damn RIAA peeps won’t let us post some of them.
Danity Kane finally releases their video for their second single, “Bad Girl,” featuring Missy Elliott. It’s been since March since Danity Kane released their second album, Welcome to the Dollhouse, which debuted at #1 on the Billboard charts.
I’m glad the girls finally got the video out, ’cause I really enjoyed their new album.
Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama mentioned on Sunday’s Meet the Press that he would pick a vice president who would “help [him] govern” and not just someone “who I send off to go to funerals”.
“I’m not interested in a vice president who I send off to go to funerals. I want somebody who is going to roll up their sleeves and be willing to work,” he said.
Following a roundtable with some of his top economic advisors on Monday, Obama headed to the office building of Eric Holder, who along with Caroline Kennedy, is in charge of the search for Obama’s vice presidential running mate.
Obama’s campaign wouldn’t comment on the meeting, but he did say the choosing a running mate would happen “soon enough”.
“I’m going to want somebody with integrity. I’m going to want somebody with independence, who’s willing to tell me where he thinks or she thinks I’m wrong, and I’m — I’m going to want somebody who shares a vision of the country where we need to go, that we’ve got to fundamentally change not only our policies, but how our politics works, how business is done in Washington,” he said.
Obama left Holder’s office building almost three hours after he arrived, and he declined to answer any questions regarding the meeting.
Sean John Underwear taps internationally renowned recording artist, Nelly, as their new spokesmodel. The first campaign features the rapper donning the Fall collection of underwear basics and loungewear.
The campaign was shot by Randee St. Nicholas and showcases Nelly in both interior and exterior shots at a modern home overlooking Los Angeles.

New music is slowly being leaked from multi-talented Raphael Saadiq’s newest project, The Way I See It (due September 16th on Columbia Records). The new album definitely has a throwback Motown feel (with new promo photos to match).
Saadiq on the inspiration for the album:
“I was cooling out and surfing in Costa Rica and The Bahamas,” recounts Saadiq, “and ran into people from all kinds of places. I noticed everybody was listening to classic soul music. When I came back home the music for this album flowed organically, naturally. Since I have my own studio, I was able to perfect it, take my time to make it right. I was able to live with it, day after day and that had a lot to do with how the album turned out.”
