As we reported last week, Kanye West and MTV’s ‘Choose or Lose’ teamed up to tell the stories of returning war veterans in the powerful documentary “Choose or Lose & Kanye West Present: Homecoming” set to air tonight, July 28 at 10pm ET/PT.
On behalf of MTV and the Dr. Donda West Foundation, Sway and Kanye gave each veteran a life changing gift. Debts were paid off, rents were taken care of and tuitions were funded. Peep the clip above..

Whitney Houston and Ray J were photographed leaving the Villa Lounge in Los Angeles over the weekend. I guess the duo were out celebrating the release of Whitney’s new single, “Like I Never Left,” (listen to it here). What’s up with that ring on her hand too? Who knows??

Some new photos of R&B singer Monica and her sons Rodney aka Lil Rocko (3 years old) and Romello Montez hit the net over the weekend. The photos are reportedly promo shots for Monica’s reality show entitled ‘The Single: Monica’ set to premiere on Peachtree TV August 5th. Word is, Monica and her boyfriend, rapper/producer Rodney “Rocko” Hill, Jr. are now engaged to be married.
In Related News, Monica is writing and putting songs together for her fifth studio album, Lessons Learned. Her first single is entitled, “Still Standing.”

Sean “Diddy” Combs was spotted spending the day in Central Park, New York City this weekend. The mogul was hanging out and playing football with family and friends including ex-girlfriend Kim Porter, their twin daughters D’lila Star and Jesse James, son Christian and his son Justin.
Last week some rumors were going around saying that he was engaged to singer/model Cassie, but both stars denied the rumor by releasing statements.

Meet Rantz, a 21-year-old New Orleans native and resident who apparently has a thing for Georgia peaches! Signed to Damm Guud Entertainment, an Indie label, Rantz croons about his love for an Atlanta chick, and hopes to take the nation by storm with his ode to southern belles.
I think the reason I first connected with the song is because I’m from Atlanta, and heard many landmarks from my city, so I automatically could relate. Not only that, but I am really digging Rantz’s smooth tone and delivery. So what do you think?

Democratic presidential candidate Senator Barack Obama (D-IL) speaks to attendees at the UNITY: Journalists of Color conference at McCormick Place convention center on Sunday in Chicago, Illinois.
The event was Obama’s first since returning from a week-long overseas trip. He spoke on his recent trip abroad, the housing bill and housing situation in the US and how to move forward in Iraq and Afghanistan. Full video above..
