Some new photos of R&B singer Monica and her sons Rodney aka Lil Rocko (3 years old) and Romello Montez hit the net over the weekend. The photos are reportedly promo shots for Monica’s reality show entitled ‘The Single: Monica’ set to premiere on Peachtree TV August 5th. Word is, Monica and her boyfriend, rapper/producer Rodney “Rocko” Hill, Jr. are now engaged to be married.
In Related News, Monica is writing and putting songs together for her fifth studio album, Lessons Learned. Her first single is entitled, “Still Standing.”

No hate, but I really can’t stand it when music artists or celebs put their family business out there like that, flashing their kids like they are a piece of jewelry. It’s cool that she loves her kids, but leave them out of your career life. This is why a lot of female singers turned mothers don’t have a successful music career after they have kids. I’m not a fan of her music anymore either. Lessons Learned??? I wonder what she’s referring to? Maybe learning how to be fully committed with a man before she moves on to bigger commitments?

I didn’t like her last album either, but hopefully with the new one, she’ll go back to her old formula that was on the other 3 albums before the latest one. Maybe that’s why she naming this album Lessons Learned. As the saying goes, “If ain’t broke, don’t fix it”.

I gave birth to a baby girl 3 weeks ago! “Naturally!!” Somebody tell me why they call it “natural” with no meds. That is the most unnatural thing I ever experienced. I called myself knowing it all and waiting too damn long to go to the hospital. I had my baby 1 hour after I got there.
Anyway, Monicas boys are too cute. The little one is so chubby. I love them at that age.

I have came to the conclusion as talented as Monica is, you have to buy every other album because she is not consistent. “Miss Thang” was classic, “The Boy is Mine” sucked imo, “After the Storm” classic, “The makings of Me” horrible. I buy Monica’s albums because she is one of the few vocalist I like so I will buy her next album to support her but she needs to really focus and try to be more consistent.

Monica is a beautiful sister – and takes very nice pictures. Her sons are adorable, but I have never seen a picture of her oldest son smiling… [and there have been plenty of pictures]. He always seems to have the same expression on his face.

If you are doing everything as a married couple why not just get married. I mean you are living together, sharing finances, and creating a family what is wrong with making this woman your wife. I don’t care what she says if he asked her to marrry him tomorrow she would do it. She wants to be married that is why she is sticking around.
