Mya is spotted on the beach while on holiday in Barbados over the weekend. The singer was also supposed to host an event down there, but according to a CL tipster she was a no show.
Mya was supposed to host a show at a club here in Barbados last night (Saturday, July 5th) – Club NXS and was a total no-show! This is after the Barbados Tourism Authority PAID for her to come down first class and put her up at the Barbados Hilton – using TAXPAYERS’ money, you know! Naturally, people are pissed. It’s one thing to get dissed by a celeb – it’s a whole other thing to get dissed by a past-her prime celeb like Mya.
If this is true, she knows she was wrong for hitting up the beach and not getting work done first. She looks fit though.

I didnt like how all her features went together and didnt like her ears but I knew the fellas liked her regardless cause of her skin color but actually I am finding the beauty in her now. Mya looks great int heses photos honestly. She has on no makeup, no photoshop, no weave, and looks great to me. I wouldn’t pass any judgement on her as far as being a no show because it could’ve been for a specific reason. Mya actually likes to perform and said she gets a rush from performing for people. I hope she didnt ditch the people in barbados because that’s not good business. Besides she could get sued if she was contracted.

@callmewhatever society in general is slowly changing its views on beauty. look at some of the newly titled beauties in hollywood. none of them are flawless. idk beauty is really a subjective thing anyway b/c everyone has different tastes and we all see ppl’s faces differently. also someone’s demeanor or other features can make them beautiful. i used to think mya was ugly but she has a really nice body so i can’t think she’s ugly anymore. i think she’s cute now and can look beautiful sometimes (makeup helps too lol but what hollywood woman doesn’t wear makeup, aside from joy bryant- she’s in her own league)

There is two sides to every story and I`m not going to jump on Mya,I`m going to let her tell her side of the story.Because somebody has their facts backwards.Mya has been going to the Caribbean for years and works with alot of people their.If she failed to show up and host at that club,then she has to have a good reason and reasonable explanation. Also many people mistakenly believe that Mya does not sell alot of CDs.This is silly!Mya is a Grammy winning multiplatinum selling artist.She simply does not release enough albums.She will make a album and then disappear for years before she releases another one.That`s because just like the rapper Nas she likes making music but she does not like the ugly business side of the music industry.The industry pimps and turns female singers who want to make music from the heart into booty shaking sex objects.And the last thing that Mya is,is a bimbo,she is mature,intelligent,acts in movies,is signed to the Ford modeling agency and has a foundation that helps inner city kids.
If you don’t have both sides of the story, you shouldn’t judge the situation. There are definitely pieces of the story missing. I love Mya. One of the sweetest celebs I’ve met. And very talented.
