Mya is spotted on the beach while on holiday in Barbados over the weekend. The singer was also supposed to host an event down there, but according to a CL tipster she was a no show.
Mya was supposed to host a show at a club here in Barbados last night (Saturday, July 5th) – Club NXS and was a total no-show! This is after the Barbados Tourism Authority PAID for her to come down first class and put her up at the Barbados Hilton – using TAXPAYERS’ money, you know! Naturally, people are pissed. It’s one thing to get dissed by a celeb – it’s a whole other thing to get dissed by a past-her prime celeb like Mya.
If this is true, she knows she was wrong for hitting up the beach and not getting work done first. She looks fit though.

Crazy thing is, with supporters like many of the people responding to this post, who needs the KKK. I mean call a spade a spade! On another note, please don’t believe the hype. People would be shocked to know how many times celebrities are invited to events (all expenses paid, that’s the normal perk of being a celebrity) and not showed up at the event. Moreover, how many times have we seen advertisement for an event with a celebrity’s face plastered all over the plugger, and you get there and you find out that the club lied through their teeth.
I just ask before you post something negative, consider the validity and value of the “facts” you receive; and before you hate, ask yourself can you do better – and if you can, put your money where your mouth is!!!!

COME ON FOLKS!! WHY BE SO QUICK TO JUDGE? We do not know the whole story. All we know is that she is in the city on the beach. Maybe the money wasn’t right or the deal fell through. These things happen all the time according to rappers and they are VERY vocal about false promises and not performing if the money ain’t right. With a quickness at that! It is so surprising how everyone acts like we have the whole story. As if Mya dropped a line herself. We won’t know until she does, so until then, we can just hope in her situation she is not out there making bad business w/ an album in the air.
