SPOTTED: NAS PROTESTING IN FRONT OF FOX NEWS’ HEADQUARTERS
Thursday, July 24, 2008

As we reported earlier this week, Nas joined ColorofChange.org and MoveOn.org to protest the racist antics of the Fox News Corporation. He is pictured above speaking to the crowd of fans, media and random new yorkers on Wednesday afternoon in front of the Fox News Headquarters. They also delivered more than 600,000 petition signatures to the offices. (keep reading to view video from the protest..)
The rapper, whose album is currently number one of the billboard charts, released a single and accompanying video entitled, “Sly Fox” to bring light to Fox’s unprofessional antics.

Ok off topic for a moment. I think today you guys(CL) should create a post asking us what we thought about the CNN special last night Black in America either today or tomorrow so that we could give our own commentary on it. I am really interested to hear what people thought about it because I have my own opinions on it and I don’t think I’m the only one. You guys usually tell us about the specials but never follow up on them. Just a suggestion.

This is interesting. I wonder what the brother’s motivations are with this? I wonder why he has put himself in league with these “civil rights” organizations that he is smart enough to know have no real intention of helping our people. I don’t want to say that this is a coordinated publicity stunt for the album but I’m left with no other choice. I wonder if he realizes what he is getting himself into?

Big-ups to Nas for using his voice for something important. I signed the petition…we gotta fight the ignorance. We need to be proactive before November (the election) comes and we are all saying “shoulda, coulda, woulda” and then try to place blame when it won’t change the outcome. BE PROACTIVE PEOPLE!!! This may just in fact, erase what he said about Jesse and ‘nem in my book. Last week, what he said was a tad bit disrespectful, but far, far less heinous than what Mr. Jackson said about Mr. Obama……. But, Keep it up the Positivity Nas!!

Good for Nas!! It opens the eyes of his fans and young people. When a rapper gets involved and young people don’t get involved they are made aware so they can’t say they didn’t know! They look at artists for fashion, music and swagger so why not for world or social causes?
Maybe Nas is tired of hearing Fox make sly comments and passing it off as dry humor? He really put himself out there with this one!!

FOX is using the media a vehicle to make us part of a joke . Keep on doing it NAS. When other celebs marched w/ Jenna 6 and Katrina there wasn’t any suspicion then. Give him luv.

We’ll see if this is indicative of a sincere, forthright move by Nas that will be the first of many moves by him in the future. Nas has to be ready to appear on programs and get interviewed by whites that hope to entrap him in his words and confound him and I honestly don’t think he’s ready for that. The brother is too double-minded. The song is an excellent song but even the song is on a whole other frequency from this petition nonsense. Nas knows that he is a king. That therefore means that he understands that king’s make decrees, they don’t beg their enemies for leniency. Black people have a slave mentality, which is why most black people will see something like this and agree with it. This is also why our people can approach an outlet like FOX NEWS, a channel created by and geared towards CONSERVATIVE caucasians, and believe that their opinion will be relevant to how FOX chooses to broadcast their programs. Nas studies this society and he studies the white man so he should be smart enough to know that this ruse will not have any effect in the least.

I am so proud of Nas using his celebrity status to get young people involved in a worthy cause. I am however disappointed in the people on the panel stating that he is wasting his time or that he is doing it to promote record sales. It’s one thing to have white people say bad things about us but then we sit here and talk bad about are own kind. Until Black people can take a stand and truly support each other you right things aren’t going to change. Don’t we have enough people hating on us already?! WAKE UP PEOPLE. Go Nas! Also all of the other celebrities who are going things to help our community and make a worthy cause to uplift our people. Shame on anybody who is trying to turn this into something negative.

Judah poster # 17 is absolutely correct.
On another note, I also question the timing of this. Fox has been this way for a number of years and this little protest isn’t going to change a thing….ESPECIALLY since Fox News is the highest rated news channel on cable. I wonder if Nas’ speaking out is because he has a new album (which wouldn’t surprise me at all), or is it that he is one of those Black folk who are drunk on the Obama juice and feels prompted to speak out against any person or entity who isn’t kissing Obama’s a*s?Rupert Murdock and The Fox Network does not have the Black Community’s best interest in mind and it is funny that NAS is JUST NOW realizing that.
It is so funny because those like Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson have spoken about Fox in the past and it made me cringe when this recent Jackson fiasco happened because I know the Fox Network want nothing more than to see the black community turn on both Sharpton and Jackson and watch them fall. And of course Black folk at it up. That is why the release of the Jackson video and audio was so calculated and planned out. And black people were so outraged because it was about Obama, who the Black community views as practically a god, that we couldn’t even see the calculation, nor the situation at which Jackson was referring.
America and the Black community is in a dangerous position and it is like deja vu. The media became afraid of the Bush Administration and was too afraid to ask questions or criticize Bush or any of his associates. We are again in a situation where anyone, PARTICULARLY IF YOU ARE BLACK, who questions or criticizes Obama is almost INSTANTLY labeled jealous, racist, threatened to be voted out of office, threatened to have their lives taken (Tavis Smiley), or just plain villified. And the sad thing is the Black community is doing this. Our community is DRUNK to the point of our vision is impaired.
Which brings me back to NAS and my wonderment of whether this action against FOX is connected to Obama, in terms of Fox criticizing him. If NAS doing this is connected to his album release, that is exactly what the “old generation” is concerned about when it comes to “passing the torch”. Plus, NAS should have been a bit more prepared, not to mention he should really try to discipline himself about using profanity. The world of Hip Hop, is not the same as the rest of the world, and people will tune him out if he can’t control when and when not to use profanity. Also next time, PULL YOUR PANTS UP NAS! You are having a press conference in front of Fox Headquarters about a serious subject. Trust me, they will not take you seriously.
What Fox stands for is nothing new. Why now? That is the question to NAS.

I’m not judging anyone. I’m just stating my opinion. Do you really think that the viewership that makes up FOX’s constituency will take that petitiion in any regard? Please. You call yourself “Queen” but you speak like a slave. All that being said, Nas is a brilliant rapper, but he’s not a leader. The brother has been compromised by the entertainment industry, plus he’s wants the love of the people. Black people will eventually unite, but it will be behind truth, and only after this society collapses and blacks have no other choice but to depend on each other. The reason why there is always so much division behind these contrived movements and causes is because they are not of God.

Thank you. A sister that sees clearly. How can the brother put himself forth as a leader when he obviously is not mentally prepared to be a leader? That is a full-time vocation. You cannot be a rapper/black leader. The brother wants to stand on podiums with his jeans hanging off his ass and speak on black issues. Hip-hop will not be relevant to our community when it is time for the real leaders to speak.

#5, BKLYN-BELLA, in reference to the CNN Special. I am sort of on the fence with the mini-series. Reason being is because it shines a bad light on the negatives of our race. Like the one last night was about the single parent. It just really opens my eyes and others on issues with our race, but its like damn is CNN mocking us or what….maybe I am looking too much into it, but it’s like WTF. CL please do a post on the series again, so we can get some feedback on the series. BB thanks for pointing that out, I was thinking the same thing yesterday. Also I am so sick and tired of Fox, they are the most right winged News channel. And it is an outrage how this channel keeps up with their crazy racist antics. I mean they have gotten so bold to not even sugar coat the racism on that channel!!!!! It is a D*mn shame that it is 2008, and we are still going through this nonsense. SMDH!!!!!!!

Nas,his motivation for protesting corporate owned Fox News is not a mystery,it is really quite simple,Fox News is trying to bring racism back, which is immoral, to where it was in the 1950s,and Nas is politically conscious and aware enough to understand that if people remain silent,Fox News, is going to win and succeed in doing that. You do not need some secret motive to protest Fox,with their brazen racism they are giving Black people a clear motive to protest them. The bigger question is, where are our so called black leaders on this issue? Why isn`t their a big commotion and protest against corporate Fox News coming from Jackson,Sharpton,Obama,etc.etc.,?Not only do they not repudiate, disown and lecture corporate Fox,but some of our black leaders actually join them and go on the show. It`s because corporations own the soul of our black leaders, including Obama, that is why they are mysteriously quiet on this issue. Now Obama had no problem lecturing Black men about personal responsibilty, but he has never lectured corporate Fox News, about taking responsibilty for their blatant racism. It`s because he is owned and controlled by the corporate thugs, who are on his staff guiding him like a puppet.

Judah…does it matter what’s Nas’ motivation behind the petition? I hear people all the time berate Al Sharpton; saying he is a medium whore and all that crap. But the way I look at it is, if it’s a movement that is bringing to the forefront a serious problem facing Black people, doesn’t that alone make it worthwhile? See, we cannot approach our problem with blind optimism - acting as if it doesn’t exist or hoping it’ll go away on its own. Or, we can’t just debate this issue in blogs; we have to utilize every platform available, go to highest mountain and scream bloody murder. We need make to make noise, create chaos, and riot even, because riot is the voce of the unheard. Don’t just look at Nas’ hidden agenda, if there is one, but look at the big picture - he is cutting the grass and exposing the serpent - FOX News.

on another note i swear to goodness that these people on this blog stay NEGATIVE some people might have thought that everything martin luther king did was a waste of time because nothing was gonna change but they HAVE changed…..some of our problems still exsist but you cant say that some things didnt change for the better so to say that protesting fox news will not do anything is just plain negative,if we would come together more often like we did with the jena 6 (which did produce some results) then maybe things would turn out better, instead of sitting behind your computer and saying what wont work how about you put forth a plan that will work, cuz other then that your just talking shit and that definitley isnt working
black people are the complainers of ALL complainers…..but we arent complaining about right things……..like nas the these organizations are doing…. I cant believe some of these comments….and what does it matter what nas motives are….he is someone that alot of young people and the black community look up to and his opinion matters to alot of the youth so him being there alone is speaking to those who may not have known there was an issue or even cared for that matter,so even if he brought a damn lawn chair and 200,000 copies of his cd it doesnt matter because him being there along is enough….and what makes it even better is that he ISNT sitting on his ass in a lawn chair,he’s speaking and trying to make a difference….WHAT ARE YOU DOING?? complaining thats what.

@Dukesman
I understand what you’re saying brother but the fact of the matter is that the only solution to a problem is THE solution, not a solution. Every problem cannot be solved the same way, the same way that for every lock, you have a different key. The FOX news channel is not a hidden serpent, it is an exposed serpent and it’s intent is to communicate with other serpents. That is the point. The channel was never formed to communicate with our people, appeal to our people, nor to appear to. Now when a man like Nas decides to throw down the gauntlet, he should’ve thought this war out to all it’s possible conclusions. FOX News is no more inaccurate or racist then CNN, NBC, CBS, etc. It is just more overt.
A king does not make war unless he has the troops and resources. This brother is a naturally brilliant man, but brilliance manifests itself in different ways. He is an artist, not an orator and he certainly is not a spokesman. What is his plan? Is he going to go on O’Reilly’s show and say, “F*ck ya’ll crackas!!! Ya’ll don’t treat black people fair!”. The first thing that any trained serpent will do is ask, “What is fair?”. The serpent will then go through the constitutional amendments and various programs that have allegedly been enacted for the benefit of black people, i.e. affirmative action, quota-based hiring practices, Brown vs. Board of Education, etc. Nas will get confounded. I gurantee it because, like I’ve said, the brother has been compromised by the entertainment industry and does not want to alienate his caucasian backers. This is why he issued that copout at the end of track 14 on his album. You cannot understand that the so-called white man is a serpent and then appeal to that serpent. You cannot. If you do or think to, what does that make you but the child of a serpent (Rev 12:9-17)?

Nas is that dude! I don’t blame him or anyone else for protesting that racist network. like .They have pulled a lot of racist stunts recently and it’s about time they got called out on it. Especially that cynical jerk Bill O’reilly who’s always attacking rap, and not even acknowleding the conscious rap that’s out there. He’s always focusing on the negative. I can’t stand him. Anyway, I would’ve signed the online petition, which I heard recieved over 500,000 signatures, but I found about it too late.
For the people complaining about what Nas is doing, the man isn’t claiming to be a saint. He’s simply being a front runner in a cause he’s believes in. This protest is not even about album sales. If you really knew what Nas’ material sounds like ,you would know he doesn’t even care about them. Otherwise, he would be sounding like every other ring tone rapper these days. This is about not letting Fox continue to get over how on they try to portray our people in the media. If no one says anything, they will continue with these insults.

I kind of agree with Judah & VelvetJ.
Nas’s protest really isn’t gonna change anything. This protest will be a media event for about 1 day, and then tomorrow Fox news will still be…well, Fox news. Just like Judah stated, the whole purpose of the Fox network wasn’t meant to appeal to black folks, so its just a waste of time trying (or begging, lol) for their approval. The only thing that black folks can do is just focus on us, and our community. Stop worrying about what the white man says, or thinks about us.
Obama ain’t sweating Fox news, so why should we? In the end Fox News (or white people in general) are gonna feel this way regardless of this protest.

I never said that you were a slave for standing up for someone that you think is supporting black people. I said you have a “slave mentality”. You said that you’re looking at the “big picture”, but I politely beg to differ. You’re looking at YOUR “big picture”; a picture that was drawn by that fake “dream” that MLK sold our people after he was told to teach it to us by the white man. The same “big picture” that’s predicated off of “equality”. Sis, no disrespect but that whole “equality” nonsense is straight up coonism. The Olympics are coming up soon. When the sprinters train, they train to win, they don’t train to break the finish line in a tie. Think about that for a moment. What are the chances of all 10 sprinters in the 100 meter dash coming in a tie? That’s the same chance that the negro has of equality amongst the races. Chinese people on the other side of the world have barred black people from their bars and restaurants in expectation of the Olympics. Why is that sister? This is a spiritual war, not a legislative one, and I don’t care if black people develop arthritis from signing petitions, it will not work. Either you want to be King and “Queen” or you want to be vassal. There is no equal because there are no two things equal in the universe. This is why the white man coined the term “race” in regards to the division of the nations because he plans to win. Petitioning will not win a damn thing. Black people trying to change the nature of the white man is like someone trying to change the nature of a cobra. A cobra was put on earth the hide, bite, slither, and poison. You can’t train it to do anything other than that.

But brother, any intelligent human being will be able to rebut that point. The fact that they have to have all these special clauses in place to guarantee that some Black people will be given a chance indicates there is problem. Why do Black people need a signed document for us to be considered human beings when white people are human beings the moment they are born? Affirmative Action is tokenism, it is not real. It’s a pacifier. When your baby is hungry and crying and you want him to stop crying you stick a pacifier in his mouth. He’ll suck that pacifier until he turns blue thinking he’s going to get some milk but the milk never comes. Affirmative Action is like putting a bandage over and amputation. It doesn’t help. All it does is embolden the Willie Lynch syndrome instilled in us. It makes us compete against each other and fight for something we’ll never achieve. As long as we as a people keep depending on this white man to solve our problem our dreams will be like chasing the horizon….we’ll never reach it!

“Affirmative Action is like putting a bandage over and amputation. It doesn’t help. All it does is embolden the Willie Lynch syndrome instilled in us. It makes us compete against each other and fight for something we’ll never achieve. As long as we as a people keep depending on this white man to solve our problem our dreams will be like chasing the horizon….we’ll never reach it!” powerful statement I totally agree Dukesman

i think by Nas taking an active stance against this issue is also a call to all those other rappers that are so-called “conscious.” I wanna see them come out to back my brotha Nas. It’s one thing to write and rap about the changes we need in society but it’s another to MAKE change and physically work to effect the changes we wanna see. Kudos to Nas for bein arguably the only rapper true to hip hop left around these days. We need more like you bruh

@Dukesman
Brother, I don’t believe that there are many people that know how to deal with the white man and his tricks, in all honesty, not even many so-called “intelligent” people. If they did, whites would not be in power. If they did, they would know that to petition whites or attempt to use diplomatic means with them to get them to “respect” you is futile. The fact that the white man has to draft so many clauses to enforce a semblance of rights for the negro is symptomatic of a minor problem with the system, but a major problem with black people. We really have to analyze the situation that we’re in and ask why is it that races that do not speak English can come to America and establish businesses and flourishing communities. Races that ARE NOT clamoring for a perceived member of their race in the White House, nor are they petitioning the white man for “respect” or “equality”. These races obviously understand the nature of white people, America, and black people better than black people do. They understand that America is the Great Whore and you do not make a spiritual commitment to a whore like black people are trying to do (Rev 17th chapter). You use it for what it’s worth (Rev 18:15-19).
Analyze why the white man is producing and televising so many of these shows that allege to depict the conditions of the negro in America, as if he cares or ever has. This is another trick to get blacks to believe that he’s ready to make a commitment to our people. Obama is the culmination of this ruse. They’ve played good cop/bad cop with these liberal politicians that pretend to care about our community as opposed to the conservatives that are upfront with their disdain for “minorities” for the longest time (Isaiah 32:5-8). Now they’re bringing it home with black America’s god/savior, that h*mosexual, cokehead Obama (Prov 26:24-27). This is why I have NO RESPECT for any black man that attempts to build anything substantial with these caucasians. It’s an insult to our ancestors and a trap for our children. So I’ll ask you brother, what is the horizon? What is the ultimate goal that black people hope to achieve through these so-called movements? Is it “equality”? What equality are our people hoping for? The white man respects the other races more because they’re not always kissing his ass for respect.

i get both points for Judah and Dukesman, but I think there should be a balance in between, but yeah i honestly don’t think we should try to get respect from the white man for trying to get his “approval” on things or our existence…it is unfortunate that FOX News depicts us the way they do but we should put more energy into our own and uplifting each other instead of hating on one another. you don’t see the other races doing that as much as black people, damn why can’t black people get their sh*t together.

See that’s what I’m talkin bout. Yes Fox is a right wing news channel whose audience isn’t black people, doesnt mean they’re doing is acceptable. I mean how can u go about saying that you wish someone would assasinate Obama, the later apologize saying it was just a slur. What they are doing is just reinforcing racism.
As a Briton, I’m appalled you could have a news channel like that. What Nas is doing may not change things automatically but it certainly brings awareness, if not anything, make youngsters engage in what’s gong on around them.
BTW, the album is coold

@ Judah..
These other nations can come to America and be respected because these people know their history; they have an identity, they know who they are. Unlike us, we have these imposters running around calling themselves Jews, and Black people have accepted it. If you were to meet a Chinese and person and that person said his name was James Farmer or Timothy Johnson. You would look at him as if he had two heads. You would think he was lying or that he is confused. How do you think we as Black people look to these other races when we say our names are Smith, Johnson or Bell? We have no history, even worst we hate our history. Majority of black people have disassociated themselves from Africa. I hear them all the time. “Don’t call me African American I left nothing in Africa!” You know what I tell them? You left your mind in Africa. You are just a walking zombie. African is who you are, America is where your mother pissed you out.
And my brother, this is not by default. Blacks in America have been maneuvered into oblivion. We have been fighting for respect for eons and will never get it. And I use the word fight loosely, because Black people always want to love the enemy, they want to overcome the enemy with their capacity to love; they don’t want to bleed. They want to leave everything to God. They call on God to “forgive thy enemy, for they know not what they do.” For as long as they’ve been doing it, I think they know what they hell they are doing by now. And when you call on God, they are calling on the same God while they put the ropes around your necks.
Like the Right Honorable Minister Malcolm X said “Only the Negro revolution is a bloodless revolution.” But the white man shed blood for this power that they have, if you believe they are going to give it up or share it without a fight – then I have a bridge in Brooklyn I’d like to sell you.

And to answer your question about the “our goals” - what I want for Black people is complete segregation from white people. That way we can concentrate on strengthening our race.
As soon as you incorporate white people in anything you’re doing, the movement seems to loose direction. If MLK was alive today he’d tell you. The march on Washington started out as angry people demanding answers and were bent on getting it. Once the white got gist of it, they called up MLK and gave him 750,000 and promised more if he allowed Kennedy and his boys to organize it. Even the people in the audience who came with blood in their eyes, ready to blow shit up, couldn’t understand what they hell was going on. That march showed more clowns than the Ringling Brothers Circus. A disgrace.
And one more thing brother, I am not gonna have you call Obama out his name. Respect the messiah…..

Who’s more likely to shoot a brother (other than NYPD)? Who complains the most about black people? In response to #5 I really dont think the people that needed to watch a show like that watched it. I really see it as raising more problems and issues than solutions.

@Dukesman
You started off correct brother. We are the Israelites but you can’t have it both ways. Either you are the real Jew or an African. Either one or neither, but not both. The Africans are not our people and they are the ones that sold us here into slavery to the Arabs and the white man. This is why the Africans will not form a league with our people in any way shape or form. The white man knows who we are and this is why the white man teaches us that we are African because the African culture is totally disparate from ours. Almost no black person that claims Africa will go to live there. The Africans do not have our spirit, they do not have our charisma, they do not have our lustre, and they do not have our talent and beauty.
Brother, names like Johnson, Jackson and Smith are black names not caucasian. We gave the so-called white man our last names when we ruled over them during the Middle Ages in Europe in what the white man calls the “dark ages” (which is a play on words). “White” names are names like “Cassius”, “Julius”, “Septimius”, etc. Roman names. We are the descendants of the so-called “barbarians”, “celts”, and “germanic tribes” of medieval Europe. Why do you think in school, we spend months on Greece and Rome, and then a week on the medieval period? That medieval period was us. We came here as indentured servants when our empires in Europe fell and the white man gained the upper hand because it was his divinely stipulated time to regain rulership of the planet earth. Get “Ancient and Modern Britons” by David MacRitchie and it will show you that the knights, princesses, queens, and kings of medieval Europe were black.
I will have to respectfully disagree with you brother. Black people will get respect, but only when they respect themselves and stop licking the boots of devils. In the process many people will die when this society collapses for the same reason that Rome collapsed; governmental corruption, the acceptance of h*mosexuality and l*sbianism, rampant military wars, race wars, and overpopulation. Except in the midst of all that, this time, Christ will come back and set our people back in power as He promised. Blacks worship a corrupted image of the Most High and Christ. Their belief system was crafted by the caucasains to maintain their subservience. The “religion” practiced in the churches is not real, and this is why those people do not know or understand the scriptures. Those pastors are going to be used to make the sheep of our people accept things like h*mosexuality, interracial dating, patriotism, and eventually, the RFID chip.
So now for all that, once again, if you understand that there MUST BE BLOOD, which the scriptures tell us, why do you support petitioning (Ezek 35:6, Rev 13:9,10)? It is contradictory to what you claim to represent and believe in brother. Simple as that . How can you want segregation and yet you want to petition this white man? That is an unstable thought process. Furthermore, for the negro to separate, the white man must agree to parcel out a piece of this defiled land. That will not happen, nor should it.
In regards to MLK, that is a whole other topic. That man was a supreme black devil and the most destructive force to the black community in the history of America. A true super coon. I hope you’re joking about Obama being a “messiah”. Obama’s platform is to bring all races together. You want segregation.

The civil rights march on Washington, the Million Man March in DC, and now this….have done nothing to change the course of black American in this country. These marches are nothing more than social gathering, temporary mental uplifts that provide a false sense of hopes.
The problem with many of these high profile marches and protest is that once they are done, everyone goes back to their daily routine. No planning or strategies are implemented after the march to achieve any real results. We need planning, people who are willing to do all of the dirty work behind the scene to push force these panning.
Feminism has its clasped every aspect of American institution…and white women have progress 10-fold more than any black person in this county…and I have yet to witness a million white woman march in DC.

Natural changes are violent and abrupt: i.e., volcanic eruption, tornadoes, typhoons, tsunamis, hurricanes, floods, and fire. These are nature’s way of getting rid of the trash and starting anew.
I truly believe, the state of blacks in this world can only change through some violent abrupt force…and yes, blood and lives will be shed.

I swear Black People get on my nerves sometimes, makes you want to say, why even bother? Yah should be applauding Nas’s efforts to bring awareness for such a cause…He is trying to be more than just a ‘flashing nigga bragging on a song’…Yah should command that and hope to god that more artists like him whom have such talent and grace will do the same! Alright, people really need to quit the bullshit. Just a few weeks ago, even months, just about everybody on here was cussing Nas out because of his proposed album title. According to most of yall, he was just an asshole that needed attention and wanted to sell records.
Now that everybody is SO INFATUATED with the “lord and savior” Obama, and all of the recent propaganda on Fox news, everybody has Nas on their good side all of a sudden. How soon we forget huh?
And FYI, I believe that Nas did the “sly fox” song, mainly because he was annoyed by the that stunt that Bill Oreilly tried to pull (look it up). Obama and Fox’s racists antics are secondary.

“Puhleeze!” to you for being so cynical. As far as sales go his albums are always in the same range. It’s not like Nas will go diamond just for doing something like this. Anyway, instead of downing the brother and questioning his motives, you should be commending him for at least doing something positive. No one said this Fox news situation would change overnight. Anybody with a brain knows that. The point of the protest was to at least bring attention to an ongoing problem and even though Fox rejected the petition, the protest served its purpose for now. Sis, let’s get to the point. Why are you and many other people agreeing with Nas? Like another poster brought out, most of you negroes were ready to tar and feather him for the white man when he was going to call his album “N*GGER”. Now you see that he has officially co-signed Barack Obama and is ready to use the tried and true negro tactic of licking the white man’s boots and begging him for love, so now you love him. How can what drives a man be irrelevant? What drives a man will directly affect what his plans and goals are. If you want to get behind a man that has been compromised then do so, that is your prerogative. What a “good cause” is, is subjective to each person.

I am so proud of our brave young warrior rapper men, who are barely out of their boyhood standing up like the heroes they are. It is so unfortunate that the so-called upstanding, so called respectable old fools with money are nothing but lackadaisical, selfish cowards who care nothing about the suffering masses. They stand for nothing except enriching themselves, and it is a disgrace they are allowed to critique the entire black community. That ignut charles barkely had the nerve to be talking about blacks being irresponsible, and this fool loses more money in vegas than most black families will save in a life time. He could have fed hundreds of homeless children for a year on that $50,000 he lost in Vegas. Now who is the fool???
