Yeah yeah yeah, CL has been slow as hell for the past few days. But hey, it’s the summer time. Here are a few hot topics that have been circulating the net for the past few days..
I’m sure everyone heard by now that singer Erykah Badu is pregnant with her third child by up and coming rapper Jay Electronica. When Ms. Badu heard about the backlash some message boards were giving her for having children out of wedlock she did want any mother would do, she defended herself and her kids.
“How date you disrespect the queendom … and my children and my intelligence. I’ve never been so disgusted in all of my life,” the singer began in her rant.
Badu went on to plead her case, explaining how serious she takes being a mother. She states that she has raised two very good children, and acts as both the mother and father in most cases.
“I am a great mother and caregiver to my two children, and to this world,” Badu wrote. “My children are two of the kindest and happiest people I have met … I am their doctor and their nurse, and even sometimes their mother and their father. I am an excellent mother and resent all of the negative comments and insults on my character.” [read more]

106 & PARK DRAMA
Last week Rocsi walked off the set of BET 106 & Park because Terrence was running at the mouth the whole show (view video here). I don’t watch BET like that and 106 & Park has been garbage since they hired the both of them, so this rumor is probably a publicity stunt to get higher ratings. However, I did receive an email from someone who works over there with some new info:

Rocsi has been put on indefinite leave for her stunt last week. If you didn’t know she walked off the stage on Friday after Terrence continued to harass her. She will not be making any appearances on the stage for the next 2-3 Weeks. And rumor is around here that they plan on replacing both of them by the end of the year..
The tipster went on to say that Rocsi has been on the chopping board for awhile now and this just gave them a good reason to get rid of her. Aww well..
YUNG BERG IS A LAME
Yung Berg has been giving interview after interview to try to clear his name after an audio clip of him saying some RACIST comments about dark-skinned black women was released last week. He released an apology earlier this week, but please. If you don’t know what he said here ya go:
“I’m kinda racist…I don’t like dark butts…You know how some women prefer light skin men or dark skin men,” said the “Sexy Can I” rapper during an interview with radio show “Lip Service.” “It’s rare that I do dark butts – that’s what I call dark skinned women…I [don’t date women] darker than me.”
Things just got “better” from there as he went on to say, “I love the pool test. If you can jump in the pool exactly like you are and you don’t come out looking better than you looked before going in the pool – then that’s not a good look. i get so tired of these artists gettin upset when their personal life becomes discussion yet they put themselves out there. she even sung about it on her album, and then she’s comin with #3 by #3? I am a child of a light skin mother and a dark skin father and guess what? I came out dark just like him and my sister is brown skin. So if the thought of having dark kids bothers you, you should just have kids with a white women or man because chances are they may come out dark just like you.

Obviously you people are missing the point. It’s all good that he has a preference. I actually prefer to date light skin guys because that’s what I’m attracted to but I won’t EVER degrade brown or dark skin men nor will I refuse to date a guy that I think is fine just because of his skin color. As a matter of fact I’ve actually dated a dark skin guy whom I had a huge crush on in high school. So to me I look at it as if you’re cute, then you’re cute in the end BUT I prefer light skin men. Strangers and random people would approach my mom daily and ask her if me and my sister had the same father. My sister was light skinned up until she entered high school (she darkened by playing sports). I love black folks…and black love, black unions..because we are such a beautiful race…and you can put a black man and a black woman together…and you can NEVER guess what complexion the child is going to come out as. It’s like playing the lottery. I’m pregnant with my first child now and i’m brown skinned…my boyfriend is light caramel…and we have no idea what complexion our daughter will be when she’s born….(we don’t even care..we know she’ll be beautiful).
