With Usher’s album doing the electric slide down the charts (no, I’m kidding), I’m glad he’s getting himself out there and getting on some tracks. What I’m really glad to see is that Usher’s brother, James Lackey, who has a publishing deal with EMI, is still getting placements since Lloyd’s “Get It, Shawty!” I actually dig this song, and I think it could have been an interesting addition to Usher’s album, without Nelly, of course. Honestly, Nelly is my least favorite part of the song.

Check out Raven’s new single, “Love Me or Leave Me,” from her latest album. I actually gave Raven’s album, and it really wasn’t the Disney-inspired album that I thought it would be. Raven really did her thing on this new project. And even though I can’t say that it was something that I would listen to a constant basis, I definitely respect what she did. “Love Me or Leave Me” is produced by Oak of the Knightwritaz. It’s a pretty cool song.
♫ Tank – Poppin’ (full) – listen
I think that out of all the males in the R&B game, I respect Tank the most. Vocally, he is great, and he is an amazing songwriter and producer. He’s been responsible for a lot of great songs on other people’s albums that you just wouldn’t guess. I’m hoping that “Poppin’” is new material, but it feels like some leftover music from Sex, Love & Pain, Tank’s last release, which dropped in 2007. We’ll see though.
♫ i15 – Beatin’ Like A Drum (full) – listen
You may remember a while back, we did a post on i15, Polow Da Don’s boy group, on his label, Zone 4, Inc. It’s been a long time coming for these guys, considering they dropped their first single, “Lost In Love,” which was not a bad song at all, sometime last year. “Beatin’ Like A Drum” is a cool track for the guys. I just hope they can get their album out sometime soon. I dig Tricky’s production on this song, though.

okay raven! I see you – THAT’S WHA LITTLE GIRLS ARE MADE OF! Lol! I think she sounds just as good if not better than a lot of the “artists” that are out here. thumbs up. yeah the nelly/usher bit was a lot of hollering but they’re both handsome and are established artists.

CL is fallin off HARD! I know they not gone post this cuz they can’t stand criticism but they been slippin for a good lil minute. And since they took off for the 4th its like forget about it, did they ever come back? It’s days in between posts and when they do put up new stuff, its already old news that you can got at another website 3 days ago that has their stuff together. CL always a day late and a dollar short. When I got put on this website last year it was my favorite and was always in the know! Now I can name about five other websites I go to before I head here.
RARELY is it now that CL will have different or specific news (a scoop if u will) that others don’t have. Please get back on it Angel & CO. cuz I’m really starting to wonder why I bother (I still haven’t stopped checking everyday). I hope there’s been computer problems or something outside of your control going on to explain the snail’s pace on news/updates around here. If this isn’t the case and y’all don’t re-up your game, this time next year CL will be another dotcom gone bust and will be a nice memory. If something’s going on it never hurts to keep the fanbase in the loop on any troubles. You’d be surprised about the love and response you could get……..

Honestly can’t stand Nelly. Tank’s song isn’t bad but it isn’t my type of thing. Raven’s song sounds nice tho. That i15 song made me laugh. Not only do they sound like Tricks on the chorus but it just amazes me how females can continue to let men talk about their physical attributes on a song. Seriously… when will my gender ask for more to be recognize by????
