Even though folks have been going up for T.I.’s new song, “No Matter What,” and they’re loving the video, it seems as though “Whatever You Like” is T.I.’s official first single. I don’t think it’s as strong as it could but, but it’s catchy and I think the ladies will like it. It’s not what I was expecting from an album that’s titled Paper Trail. I honestly like the intensity of “No Matter What” better. Hmmm.

I remember posting this a little while ago, but here is a new remix of “Brand New” with Lil’ Wayne. I actually love this version of it. Most are used to hearing Drake rap, but he definitely can sing as well. I’ve spoken to him recently, and he has been hard at work at his debut album, Thank Me Later. I think that “Brand New” should definitely be kept in the mix of his album. I’ve been waiting on Drake for a minute.

Although I’ve never been a fan, admittedly, Marques Houston has put out some cool tracks as singles over the last few years. Even though neither of his albums have soared to huge heights of success, Marques is definitely a veteran in the game (shoot, one of his album was even titled that). But there’s something about “Sunset” that just isn’t sincere to me. It just seems to be hoping on the whole “acoustic” trend, and Marques’s voice just isn’t doing it for me.

Check out this new track from Busta Rhymes, produced by Green Light, from Liberty City Invasion: Music From And Inspired By Grand Theft Auto IV. This song is really live. I am such a huge fan of Busta’s delivery, because it doesn’t matter what he’s talking about, or what he’s saying – it still sounds like a party. There is so much energy, I’m digging it.
First and foremost, I’m a self-admitted Drake STAN, and I think I just might be forever. SO much talent and representing Toronto very well. As for the Brand New Remix, I love brand new as a song, because its lyrics are SO true to what I’ve been going through, despite the fact that I’m a feeling. But I must say, that although Lil Wayne’s lyrics are a perfect compliment to the song, his voice really just irks me. I can’t stand the high, t-pain-ish voice that he has going on. Which is really too tooo toooo bad, because his lyrics are pefect for the song, almost as if they could fit into the original version of the song. Which is not that common with collaborations..
I must add, that Drake has two mixtapes, both Comeback Season and Room For Improvement, which are both QUITE nice. I don’t know which I like better. I LOVE me some Drake.
