WOOOW. Im not feelin the song or the video. I thought since the song was not that great she would make it up with a sexy video wit nelly but no we got this. Personally, I believe she doesn’t realize how stereotypical and offensive this video is, not saying that other’s aren’t, but this one really seemed odd being framed by a top rated female artist. Her video will continue to add to the oppression of women, especially black women, and how the are valued in society. She’s playing into the ideological structure of male hierarchy. I guess young girls need to know that to keep your man you have to have that “good good” and clean, wear heals while cooking, etc,.

Nelly saves the video for me and that’s not my opinion just cuz I’m from the STL. Idk Ashanti just wasn’t believable in this role for me. It kinda was annoying w/ all of those damn words popping up. It’s annoying enough hearing JD now I gotta read him lol. It was too much going on. Too much sexiness, too much color, and too much weave lol. Try again Ashanti.
