Kanye West, Grammy Awards: Will the Rapper Storm the Stage?
Kanye West is many things, but gracious is not one of them. In fact, the only things more entertaining than his beguilingly confessional rap songs are the hissy fits he's been known to throw at awards show. Given that he stands to lose -- or ...

I love to see the leaders of Hip-hop taking the time to do things that are positive for the younger generation to see..

    keep doing it way big!

It’s dope that they are doing this. War veterans get no love when they come home. Hopefully this inspires more people with extra financial means and charities to give back.

I couldn’t see myself fighting in any kind of war. So I have so much respect for those who do. And they need to be appreciated.

  5. Jazz

DANG!! HOMEGIRL SPRINTED SO FAST WHEN SHE SEEN KANYE. HAHAHA. BUT, THIS LOOKS GOOD THOUGH.

Its so sad that in this day and age I have to go risk my life and fight a war to get my bills taken care of. Why cant I just get that type of love for going to college? **Totally Kidding**

Good looking out Kanye, these people deserve this and a lot more cuz Lord knows Bush and his henchmen dont give a shit about the people they’ve sent off to die.

  10. caff

    Lol @ greg.

I was riding with you until the “totally kidding” part. Nonetheless, I’m glad SOMEONE is getting some help. Even if it isn’t me, it still makes me feel good inside.

  11. Jayla James

I am checking this out. My father and uncle are war vets and I got to hear how others were affected. I saw the previews and I thought it was a good thing he did. I love Kanye.

  16. Good job Kanye! But yeah…whatever happened to “I’ll never work with MTV ever again”????

  17. Lola

Ay Kanye, u wanna pay my way thru college, nigga?

On this show MTV showed really good examples of young blacks in america. Those two docs with the black americans showed a part of the black american experience not reflected in “what its like to be black in america” on CNN. It seems they felt the need to neglet the young black adults serving in the military.

They only showed the extremes of the black experience; very successful individuals and families or low middle class struggling ones. There was never a balance. I felt they only emphasized white peoples stereotypes.

  20. Anissa

I watched the show & really enjoyed it. Wish Kanye would suprise me like that all random!

Its so sad what war does to people though.

  21. BRIANA

i watched that tonight too..kanye made me proud. he did a really beautiful thing…and he looked gorgeous doing…he’s so sexy lol

but really…it’s nice to see him give back and show appreciation to people that really deserve it.

  22. Great documentary. I’m a former military brat and know that world first hand. Great to see him giving back to those who need it.

  23. Shellboogie

I saw the program last night it was amazing that Kanye would do something of that magnitude. It was great to see the look on their face when Sway and Kanye showed up.

I view Mr.West in a completely different manner, the government totally turned their back on the vets that gave their life for this senseless war.

It was awesome I am encouraged to give back as well. Kudos to Kanye !!!!!

  24. Dame(Jazmine Sullivans' Lion, Tigers and Bears is 1 of the best song I've heard in a long time thanks CL)

Wow only 24 comments I watched this last night and I applaud Kanye for helping along with Sway and MTV. I am proud of all the young veterns featured in the story and I was excited that Kanye and MTV helped them out. I loved the young lady reaction to seeing Ye I would act the same way.

  25. *CALI BABY*

KANYE IS MY HERO AND I LOVE WHAT HE DID FOR THOSE VETS.IT’S CRAZY HOW PPL THINK EVERYTHING WILL BE GOOD WHEN THEY LEAVE THE MILITARY AND IT BECOMES THE COMPLETE OPPOSITE.HOPEFULLY OBAMA CAN CHANGE THIS ISSUE AND KANYE ALONG WITH SWAY DID THE BEST THING.

  26. Miiami

Im tryna figure out why Kanye would deal with MTV even after they been airin commercials against Obama?
