She had a lot of songs about love and having fun without all this fake ass singing she doing on this song. Timberland said she is on the level with B and Rhianna. . .first off B is is B and no one can even began to step on her “turf/level” however you want to put it. She brought back glamour and performance to Black entertainment. Everyone else is merely following. . . Rhianna, can’t even sing for real. Timbaland probably mentions Beyonce to go on record as paying homage so people won’t think Keri is trying to rip her off because though Keri’s voice is a bit more mellifluous, her vocals are very similar to Beyonce’s. In fact, the guy who introduced them sold Keri as a Beyonce. So, I think that’s so nobody will call the woman a wannabe Beyonce. As for the song and video,…I find them both extremely boring. She’s got a little reputation for looking wild…why not showcase her offbeat style in the video? The song just won’t do…honestly it won’t go anywhere…it’s trash and the video is too, honestly. I don’t think she’ll have a solo career, honestly…but she’ll be around forever in cameos and writing.

The song and video are fabulous. However, I thought there were two people in the video–the wet hair girl and then the mushroom cut girl. To me they look like 2 COMPLETELY different people. The wet hair looks so much better. Everytime they showed the mushroom cut or other styles, I was just distracted and confused. The wet hair captures her beauty more and adds a bit of sophisitcation.

I was actually waiting to see her break out a routine. It reminded me of Flashdance + J.Lo’s rendition of it. Overall great job Kerri. Perhaps you need to find another stylist.

I know it’s sad! And it’s mainly from the female side of things. For some reason people tend to have this perception that there can only be ONE top female artist and that they always have to be in competition with one another. You never see that on the male side of things.
