I enjoyed the song and video. I haven’t really been following Keri’s career, but I do know she was a writer and vocal arranger of many hit songs so I know her writing skills is definitely on point. I’d say she has a better than average voice for pop singing cause many of them can’t sing at all.

Great concept. I liked the whole boxing themed video. Her outfits seem like they were inspired by that 80’s flick “Flashdance” that’s the first thought that came to mind.

It’s amazing how people focus on hairstyles instead of the music. The video is totally different from anything else on tv and the song is one of the best, if not the best new songs of the summer. (why is that? because here is it damn near august and not one established artist has released a summer banger). Therefore, kudos to Keri and Melina for thinking outside the box and on September 23rd I’ll be buying the album.

The song and video are fabulous. However, I thought there were two people in the video–the wet hair girl and then the mushroom cut girl. To me they look like 2 COMPLETELY different people. The wet hair looks so much better. Everytime they showed the mushroom cut or other styles, I was just distracted and confused. The wet hair captures her beauty more and adds a bit of sophisitcation.

I was actually waiting to see her break out a routine. It reminded me of Flashdance + J.Lo’s rendition of it. Overall great job Kerri. Perhaps you need to find another stylist.

Like it or not, Keri killed that vid and song. I don’t know what you people are used to seeing but that was a well directed video. Instead of giving you up-close glamor shots like most female artist do in their videos…She gave a concept! As far as the song, it’s fab….”I’m having nightmares from sleeping with the enemy” until you grasp the thoughts of that one lyric..you wouldn’t understand the song. She traveled deep into her heart for this song and I can totally realte to every word she’s saying! I haven’t been this excited about an artist in along time..TEAM KERI BIISHES!

Under normal circumstances, I don’t even post on CL … but the comments on Keri have forced me to today. For starters Keri is going to soar whether people want to accept it or not. She has already been making a mark in the industry and will continue to do so. The song is definitely intended to be a cross over hit and I am sure that it will do well. She brings a different element to the game right now. And as others have stated YES — she is semi reminiscent of other artist, however if you don’t care to open your eyes to see beyond the comparison than you are close minded yourself. The lyrics of the song speak to a situation that many people can relate to. Its nothign like investing your time and energy into a situation and it still not panning out to be what you want.

On Beyonce - she stands ina class all her own. There is none like her and she is an ICON. Rhianna is now after 3 albums has found her niche. Keri is stepping out form behind the scenes writing and will shine in her own right … people always have negative things to say, especially when they are not the ones out there. Music is a craft, Keri has genuine passion and that will translate in her work.

The video concept is cool, and yes her body looks great …. be reminded that the song is more than that though & so is she people.

I really like the song and the video, i think she has a hit. She will do really good with popular music because she has that sound. She actually writes her own music and sings it (talented). Yes there are better singers out there but she is going to be hot. Oh and love Miscommunication by her and Timberland. When i heard that song i was like she is going to be a hit. So anyone who hasn’t heard that song go listen to it because i thought it would have been a nice video.

To be honest. I really liked the song until I saw the video. It seems that instead of letting her creativity speak for itself Keri listened to the marketing team and decided to sell her body instead. I thought the song was great, but now I can’t listen to it without getting annoyed at the thought of the video and how she just put too much out too soon. I like her for being a true artist (writer, singer, producer), but if she keeps making videos like that, she’ll just lose a fan.

I loved it! Not a Keri fan but I may turn into one after this.
