People need to get smart and listen to the celebrities music through youtube and take advantage of concreteloop along with the other sites that allow you to preview music. If you want to help people succeed. Support the ones that need the extra help and help yourself stay out of debt. The Knowles and Carters are already past success and overly rich. Get smart and stop idolizing people to the point that they make you broke and hinder the chances of creating wealth within your own families and communities. AGREED!!!! Solange is JUST as talented as Beyonce! I think Beyonce is more impressive vocally, but that is not all that being an ARTIST is about. It’s about every facet of the craft, yet sadly we’re in an age where people no longer think creativity is talent. Solange is a better writer and storyteller (I list that separately because while storytelling consists of writing, it’s also the performances and the image…and the IMAGINATION) than her sister, in my opinion.

Solange is expressing herself through her music people, I’m sure all of us have wanted to say things but didn’t know how to say it or didn’t because we were worried about what other people where going to think, And I’m also sure some of us have brothers and sisters maybe even best friends who people compare us to or SECOND us in line to them, just because they came first, so just be OPEN MINDED about her freestyle. Shes talented, pretty and determined to make her MARK in the industry let her do her, REMEMBER your criticism will only make her more famous, she really don’t need to freestyle, I think we talk about her enough…..

She was freestyling over his beat, and used that line cause it made perfect sense! Ironically she is Beyonce’s little sister.

“Sol-Angel Hadley St. Dreams” hasn’t even been released yet, but I am already decidedly impressed with the direction Solange has gone with her image and this record. The last person I can remember taking an approach like this was India. Arie, sort of. But what I mean by that comparison is not that Solange and India. are the same or competing, but that it is interesting to see something behind the music: a quirky personality, individual style, an attitude of non-conformity, an absence of trying to hold your mouth under lock and key just because you signed a record deal.

Solange may not be everyone’s cup of tea; she clearly knows that. I am just glad someone else is making music that says “I’m okay being just me”
