Solange REAL because when everybody saying that you have to be a certain way to make it (I mean nowadays they are looking for the next Beyonce and being the little sister of Beyonce has to be alot of pressure) but she seems determined to do it her way by making her own rules I think thats as REAL as you can get by staying true to who you are

although i love Beyonce at times it feels like you don’t see all of who she is but that could be because she’s more protective of her image i don’t blame her , her every move is being watched

I think what some of you are failing to realize is that it MIGHT have been DIFFICULT to get to the point that she can release the type of music SHE (Solange) likes because someone in the industry is trying to make the next Beyonce (Rihanna) or the next Janet (Ciara) or the next Mary J. (Keyshia), instead of just letting the artist be the next {insert artist name here}.

You may have a point about Solange having the freedom to do what she wants because of her sister’s success. But, I think your underlying point is what irks everyone about Beyonce. Her image is contrived…People can see what’s real and what’s not. The whole good girl, flawless, I never do anything wrong, I never get angry is manufactured…and you’re right she may have to do that to get ahead–but that’s the double edge sword…its helps her success but it also makes me people want to criticize her (sometimes unfairly) because people sense that she isn’t being authentic….

at the end of the day its just a song that some will like and others won’t she’s an artist and she’s doing what she’s suppose to do which is to express herself through music and this is how she feels about the music industry
