With all the sadness that happened this weekend, it great to finally post some positive news.
24 year-old Cullen Jones (along with Jason Lezak, Michael Phelps, Garrett Weber-Gale) took home Gold on Monday, during the 4X100m freestyle relay swimming final. Jones, who helped set the new world record in the event, is only the 3rd black person to ever make the Olympic swim team. Congrats to Cullen and the Relay team.
In related news, Jones has funneled his love for swimming into a cause for him. He currently assists the USA Swimming Foundation’s ‘Make A Splash’ Program in helping minorities learn how to swim.

Congrats to Cullen Jones and his team! Cullen is a cutie! Uh-oh yawl, I think a sista might need some swimming lessons!
I can do the froggy swim (lol! What yawl know about that!?) But I guess that and the doggy paddle don’t really count, huh? Trust me… you can’t try to be sexy at the pool with your cute lil bathing suit on and then jump in and do the froggy or doggy paddle… not a good look! LOL!

This was one of the many events that I was so anxious to see. I screamed at the top of my lungs (actually believing that would help) the entire race.

Wow….Jones is a personal friend and I cannot stress how proud I am of him! Also, Jones’ father was not a deadbeat dad, he was a great man who passed away from cancer. Congrats to Cullen!
