I am appalled that bodyguards were “knockin’ people down trying to save celebs”. So were the other people lives not as precious as the celebs? I know it’s their jobs to protect the celebs, but you don’t knock others down who also have a right to live just to get to the celebs!!! Why is it that black people always feel the need to fight and even kill eachother when they go out?? You rarely (if that) hear about white people shooting eachother up or even fighting at clubs and or parties.

While its unfortunate that this happened.. 1.) There reports are all foggy. There was shooting OUTSIDE of the club, not in. A speaker popped and that’s what sent folks ducking for cover. If you read Nigel’s report at the link given, he said people were just locked down inside of the club until security could get a handle on things.

I live in ATl and the news is reporting that the confusion started with people being overcharged at the door. Atl clubs are notorious for that. At 9pm the price is $20, at 10:30 its $40. Then the let 2 people in every 15mins to create a line to make it seem like the spot is off the chain. Once the celebs start rolling in at midnight The price go up to $100. Now that extra money they made ripping off people will be used to pay off law suits.

LOL are you serious? You really think that white people don’t act violent in the clubs? There may not be shooting, but every time I see white people on TV in the clubs there’s always girls getting sloopy drunk, hitting on another girl’s boyfriend, and throwing a glass at the girl and then they fight. Same with white males. They’ll get drunk and mad and throw a bottle or start a fight. At hotel parties they throw chairs out the window, bottles up against the wall… white people be acting crazier than black people when they go to clubs/parties. Anyway, this story sounds fake. I don’t believe it. It probably was just a speaker or a bottle pop. People getting worried over nothing.

So….was it really confirmed that there was a shooting…if so…it’s really sad that in this day and age all the violence is still an everyday occurence. I don’t want to pin it down by saying it’s only in our community…because it’s on the news everyday among all races…I’m not talking about just shooting in a club…or bar fights…the methods of violence may vary…but at the end of the day its still violence that is running ramping among our youths and men and women still trying to act hard and hold on to their youth.

Two years ago they had to close down 9 clubs in MD because of the rate of homicides in the area, homicides of which mainly blacks were responsible. All the clubs were black clubs, either Go Go or Hip Hop and RnB. They also had to beef up the presence of police from 20 to 50 cops at one club. That many cops at a club is not normal. And this is just in MD. I could get into statistics but that would be redundant. You already know where I’m getting at. There’s a problem and its serious.

New law here in GA was passed that permits any registered gun carrier to also carry a concealed weapon without a liscense. That means anyone could have had a gun in that club and could have sued the owners for not letting them in with it. I know it’s crazy but it is true. The law passed within the last 6 weeks.

I work at Dreamz and the shooting did not take place in the club, it took place outside. The mayhem started when people thought there was shooting inside and everyone panicked. Other than that the event was cool and if people would have chilled it would have been jumping til 6am, but the drama ended the party early.
